Trust (Shazam/Billy Batson x Reader) Pt.2

"So do you want to hang out?" Billy asked.

"We always do, why wouldn't I want to?" You questioned.

"Shit. No I meant.... I meant just you and me." He said.

You cracked a smile.

"I-I....."

Poor Billy was struggling with proper words to ask you out. See you knew what he wanted to ask, but he wanted to ask in a proper way without sounding way too stupid.

You smiled. "Hey... just calm down. Give yourself a few seconds to regain."

Billy nodded and took a slow breath with an exhale. "I am trying to ask you out." He admitted.

You nodded. "I figured."

Then he immediately jumped into worrying. "And if you don't then I understand."

"Billy, let me answer." You said.

Billy shut up and his cheeks and his ears were red from embarrassment.

"I would really like to go on a date with you. It would be fun." You said.

Billy smiled and felt better. "So um... how about that carnival they are bringing in. The one for summer."

You nodded. It sounded like a cute date, besides junk food, some rides, and games sounded really cool. "It sounds good."

Billy's heart soared at you saying yes. "Okay." He said with a smile.

"Mmph" you said as you took a sip of your lemonade, you made that noise to signal that you planned to say something after you were done with the sip.

Billy listened and took a sip of his own lemonade.

"Okay so there is a major difference from this form and from your super self. Not just age wise, because you are an adult now, but you have darker hair. You also have darker eyes too." You said.

Billy chuckled. "So you comparing myself to myself?"

"Not trying to. Just stating that it is a great set of like camouflage." You said. "So you don't have to put on glasses or stuff."

"Hm... didn't fully think of that." He said. "So which version do you like best?"

"What?" You asked.

"Which side do you like better? My normal side or my super side?" He asked.

"I am not choosing, because I like them both equally." You said.

"So looks are good on both sides?"

"Yes, but I think I like your personality a lot more." You admitted.

"So the looks are out the window?" He joked.

"Oh my gosh Billy, stop putting words into my mouth." You said and gently smacking his arm.

Billy laughed. "Okay I will stop." He said. Billy saw a dart game and looked at the prizes. "I'm gonna play and win something for you."

"Billy don't play something to just win a prize for me."

"Relax I will get one for myself too."

"No I will win something for you." You protested.

"Fine, but don't worry if you lose." Billy said.

"Have some faith in me. You joked.

Soon you and Billy were throwing darts to win prizes. Billy wanted to get you a tiger, because that is always what he wanted when he grew up. He always wanted to get a stuff tiger and he remembered how he gave one to a scared little girl. Tigers gave him some happy memories.
