The Babysitter (Roy Harper x Reader)

Lian needed a babysitter due to her father working certain shifts and fighting crime at night. So the hours would depend on the days. He was 4 years sober and was doing great. He stood on a roof and was on a mission with Superboy and Nightwing.

Roy sighed. "This is becoming a hassle at times and I don't know what to do because not many people babysit at late hours. She already goes to daycare. And she hates almost everyone. " He said.

"Hey Conner who watches our baby brothers again?" Dick asked.

Conner looked over. "(Y/N)."

"She would be a good candidate for a babysitter at night." Dick said.

Conner smiled a bit. "Yeah she would. She watches Damian and Jon when we ask her whenever. Even at early hours of the morning."

Roy looked at them. "She watches those two? How in the hell does she manage?"

"Hey Jon isn't that bad." Conner defended.

Dick scoffed. "Damian doesn't always start the fights."

Roy waved them to focus when they found the guy they were supposed to take down. The conversation would be continued later.

Roy stared at the number and looked at Lian. She was coloring, but she was really notorious for drawing on the walls when he wasn't looking. He took a deep breath and finally pressed the call button.

"Hello?" You answered.

"Hi. This is Roy Harper I was told that-"

"Oh yeah. I remember Dick and Conner telling me about you. How are you Mr. Harper?"

Roy was a bit surprised that you were formal, even over the phone. "I am good. I was wondering if I could ask for your babysitting services. See every once in a while I work late night shifts and I got no one to watch my Lian."

"I can understand that." You said.

"So I was wondering when you had an opening to start?"

"Well whenever you need me to watch her. I mean how soon did you want me to come watch her?"

"Tomorrow night. Around 7. I will be picking her up from daycare and dropping her off at the house for you." Roy said.

"Sounds good Mr. Harper. See you soon. I look forward to meeting you and Lian." She said.

Roy smiled a bit and you both said your goodbyes.

The next day you were at his door at 6 to make sure that you weren't late. Roy just arrived five minutes after you. "So sorry." He mumbled as he unlocked the door with his daughter in his arms.

"No no it's fine. I was early anyhow."

Roy chuckled just a tad. He didn't get a true look at your face. He set Lian down and invited you in. Then he saw how beautiful you were. Wow! You held a small back pack too. He closed the door behind you.

"So is there anything I should know about and rules? Any allergies?" You asked.

"Not really. She already cusses thanks to my mouth. So I grew used to it. She doesn't have any allergies either."

You laughed a bit at the cursing thing.

"Oh and um she colors on the walls. She usually doesn't warm up to people that often. So I am so sorry if you experience her horrible attitude." Roy said. Oh he had so such trouble with previous babysitters.

"Trust me I know that some kids take a long time to form a true bond." You looked at Lian. "Hi Lian. I'm (Y/N). You sure are adorable."

She watched you and took your hand immediately.
