Going Soft (Superboy/Conner Kent x Reader) Angst

((There will be death in this so angst. And Conner and M'gann are together in this one.))

Usually when Conner meets a new group member, he might give them the cold shoulder and be rude, so everyone was telling him to behave. You were joining the team just right after the same time Zatanna joined the team, at fourteen years old. He thought you would be just one of Batman's sidekicks and nothing more. Boy was he wrong.

Who were you? You were Bruce Wayne/Batman's & Diana Prince/Wonder Woman's daughter. Now the pregnancy wasn't planned and they didn't stay together, BUT you were their pride and joy. Bruce loved you and Dick equally so there was no squabble between you two. Bruce took custody of you, but Diana got to see you whenever she wanted and spend time with you. Your looks were slightly different than your parents, probably because of all the Amazon family side of Diana's.

Bruce and Diana had taught you to hold back on your special abilities at a very young age. You hated that you couldn't do all of your magnificent abilities. It didn't seem fair at all. And boy when Diana heard about Bruce taking you out on patrols, she wasn't happy about it. Those two argued for an hour, until Bruce said something that stopped her, "There are other superhero kids out there that are learning to do their abilities. Martian Manhunter has his niece that is learning. Oliver's adoptive son, Roy, is practicing. Barry's nephew is learning his powers. Zatara is slowly teaching his daughter to use her abilities."

Diana was quiet and sat there.

"And the Amazons train their girls at a young age too. So do not come at me like I am the worst parent on earth." Bruce said. "What happens if someone goes after you or if someone finds out who she is. Do you not want her to protect herself? To not fight back?"

Diana frowned and sighed. "Okay... okay you are right."

"I know I am right." Bruce said. "I always am."

Diana gave him a glare and rolled her eyes.

Now here you stood, with Batman introducing. The girls were the most excited when they heard that they were getting a new teammate that was a girl. They saw you in full gear too and boy were they surprised to see a lasso of truth on your belt. In fact all of the team was. They saw your symbol which was a bat symbol with a hair piece that had a star on it. They saw there were quite a few stars on your costume too. You wore a domino mask over your eyes. You had made a deal with your parents to not show your eyes, and if you did plan to then you had to wear false color contacts.

"So who is she the apprentice of?" Kaldur acquired.

"This is my daughter." Batman said.

"And mine too." Wonder Woman said as she just exited the zeta tube. "She is our child."

Dick smirked and watched from the distance. He was happy that you got your spotlight for a bit. While the others were surprised and were looking between Batman, you, Wonder Woman, and then back to you.

"She is your daughter?" Wally asked just to clarify.

Batman nodded.

"Does that mean... are you two... what?" Wally tried to think of more questions to ask.

Artemis gently smacked Wally's arm. "Stop."

M'gann smiled. "We are so happy to welcome you to the team." She was the one to introduce you to the others. You were smiling and so happy that M'gann got to introduce you. Then she reached Conner. "And this is Superboy, but he also goes by Conner."

You gave a small smile to him.

Conner just stared at you and was confused on what to say except, "Hi." Well it was a start. Though his face was emotionless and his voice was monotone.
