If the team had a pool party, you didn't come. If the girls asked you to come shopping, you refused. Tanning? Nope. Dressing up for a formal party? Nope not happening. You were well known for distancing yourself when it came to big groups. You also were well known for not seeming to want to do anything. You would hang out with the team, but if it had anything to do with being in skin tight clothes, swim suits, or dresses then you were out of there.

It all started when you were younger. You just were the one who was more hungry, the one who was a little more bigger than the other girls, and the one who wore their heart on their sleeve. They would encourage you that you were gorgeous, but you would shut down. So would Dick, he would try to tell you that you were gorgeous! But you never listened. You put on a fake smile and would nod, go home, and hide from the world. You would think, "If I am so beautiful then why is my crush more of my best friend?" You thought that through until you were retired just from the team.

Roy went to meet up with the others, for a fourth of July cook out. He did retire from the team also. He saw the others and smiled. "Hey guys. Sorry for being late." Roy said.

Will chuckled. "It's fine. The party was just beginning." He said as he held Lian.

Dick nodded. "Yeah. Conner is cooking hot dogs and burgers."

"And M'gann has the tofu and stuff." Zatanna said as she walked over. "How are you doing Roy?"

"Good. A few busy nights, but not much." Roy said with a smile. His eyes searched around the party. "Where's (Y/N)?"

"She's not here." Will said as he let Lian go jump into the pool, since she had her life jacket on.

Roy frowned. "She has not come to any of these outings."

"Yeah. How long has she not been here?" Jim asked, as he walked over.

"She hasn't been to any outings. Like none of summer outings or goes shopping with the girls." Roy said with a sad tone.

M'gann tried calling you once again. All she got after so many rings, was a voicemail.

Dick looked over. "Any luck?"

M'gann shook her head. Her brown eyes full of sadness. "No. She hasn't responded to the others either."

Roy sighed. "I should have asked her out earlier." He mumbled.

"Huh?" Dick asked.

"He said he should have asked her out earlier." Conner repeated as he passed by. "Honestly they would been a cute couple."

"No no. It is they will become a cute couple." Zatanna corrected.

Conner nodded. "True."

Roy wasn't embarrassed about how he felt about you. He tried to drop hints, but he didn't make them quite clear enough for you. Roy looked at the others. "I will be back." He said and went back to his car.
