A long while ago Bruce Wayne had funded an orphanage in Metropolis and Lois Lane was covering the story about this. See Bruce was told by Clark Kent that an orphanage was on the verge of closing due to little funding. It was true, everything was going kind of down in a harsh situation. It really was. So, Lois had done a large story on this and had already interviewed Bruce. She also was interviewing some kids to see what their response were.

You were four years old, living in that orphanage your whole life. Lois was going to ask you if you were excited that you got money to not only fix up the orphanage, but to see if you were excited that you also were excited that there would be a new play yard for the orphanage. As soon as she reached you, you had run and hid behind one of the employees.

Lois didn't interview you, but she was curious. She kind of was blown away from how adorable you were. Your tiny frame, (E/C) eyes, (H/C) hair, and the shy look on your face made her interested in you. So, later on that day she went to talk to one of the main employees at the orphanage. She saw you again and smiled. "Hi sweetie. What's your name?" She asked you.

You got nervous again and didn't answer. You had a little Superman shirt on though. It was pretty cute. It was (F/C) and the symbol was a dark pink.

Lois smiled and took in your outfit. "Is Superman your favorite superhero?" She asked.

Well... it was a close tie between him and Batman. But you nodded to her. "He is cool." You told her. You were biting your nails though, you had chewed them off ever since you were younger, despite how many times the caretakers told you not to do it. Not your fault that your nerves had taken over to chew on something when stress or anxiety kicked in.

Lois smiled. "My name is Lois. Lois Kent." She said. Her and Clark had tied the knot about six months ago.

Slowly you began to reconsider for not introducing yourself and you finally spoke. "My name is (Y/N) (L/N)."

Lois's smiled grew a tad wider. "It is very nice to meet you."

She got to talk to you a little longer and soon it was time for lunch, so you had to go. You frowned and waved goodbye to Lois, because you had a good feeling that she wouldn't be coming back anymore. She honestly was the first person you trusted, that wasn't a caretaker, to talk to. Lois watched you leave and she was thinking hard.

"You thinking about adopting her?" Bruce asked from behind her.

Lois jumped. "Quit that shit Bruce. You scared me." She whispered angrily.

Bruce chuckled a bit. "Sorry."

Lois stared at the direction you had went to. "I... I mean Clark and I have talked about having kids, but I don't know if he would want to adopt or not." Lois said. "Adopting is more of your thing."

Bruce gave her a look. "My thing? Really Lois?"

Lois shrugged. "It is true Bruce."

Bruce ignored that and thought for a bit. "I really think you and Clark should consider adopting. I have a good feeling he is going to like (Y/N)." He said. Bruce had overheard your name when he was talking to one of the caretakers.

Lois bit her lip and nodded. "Okay. Okay I can see what Clark says."

That night she told Clark about you and how precious you were. She said that you were secretly charming without even knowing it. Clark was a bit surprised, but he did enjoy saving kids. So, he agreed to come meet you and do a few visits to see how it all went down.

******

It didn't take long at all to win over Clark's heart. It was true about you being secretly charming, the very likable trait that most people had overlooked. Shame on them for overlooking that. Soon Clark and Lois were asking your opinion to be a park of the Kent family.
