Holding Onto the Past (Arkham Nightwing x Reaer)

(So if you at least hear the YouTube video at 9:30 to 9:47 you can hear that Dick unenthusiastic about hearing about Barbara and Tim. So I took the opportunity to make a chapter on him. BUT BARBARA WILL BE ALIVE! I mean we all hear about Jason from the Arkham series, so I thought why not go ahead and do one about Dick. I might also do one about Tim too.)

Dick went to one of Lucius Fox's parties since he had took down Penguin a few weeks ago. Lucius had invited him and Dick accepted. One night off couldn't hurt that much. Besides he needed to clear his mind for a bit. He walked in and he was dressed in a tux. Everyone was dressed pretty formal. Dick was greeted by Lucius and the two greeted one another.

"Glad that you came." Lucius said. "Would be a waste of an invitation if you didn't come."

Dick chuckled. "Well I don't think it would have been that good of a party if I skipped out."

Lucius chuckled as he led him to the bar to get a drink. "So how is everything since... you know?"

"Well Bruce is a little more at ease, but he is still looking for Jason." Dick said. "I mean he knows who he is now, but it has been hard to contact him."

Lucius nodded. "I can understand that."

Dick looked at the bartender. "Scotch on rocks please." He took a seat at the bar.

The bartender nodded and made him one.

Lucius sat with Dick. "So you aren't going to be coming back to Gotham, are you?"

"No. Not unless I am truly needed. It isn't permanent Lucius. I told you that."

"I know. I know. Just wanted to say that there is always an opening if you ever want to come back." Lucius said.

"Thank you." Dick said when he was handed his drink. He looked back at Lucius. "Thanks, but no thanks."

Lucius nodded and shrugged. The two talked for a while and chuckled when they shared some old memories that was humorous. They scanned the crowd a few times, then something caught Dick's eyes. It was a young woman with (H/L) (H/C) that wore a (F/C) dress. She was gorgeous and her (S/C) skin seemed to reflect so nicely in the lighting. Her (E/C) eyes seemed to sparkle as she laughed at someone's joke. Her smile was gorgeous and her laugh was like a sweet melody.

Dick sat up a bit more straight. A smile grew on his face. "You invite her?" Dick asked Lucius.

"Yes. In fact that is (Y/N) (L/N). She is a new detective that is transferring to Blüdhaven. She also loves to work with the Wayne Enterprises. She helped some of the authorities agree to use some of our technology." Lucius said. "She is a very brilliant woman and a hard worker."

Dick checked for a ring on your hand. When there wasn't, he smirked. "She talk about any significant others?"

Lucius chuckled because he knew what Dick was like. "No she hasn't. I fair warn you, she has broken a lot of bones when she was dispatched to a few calls."

"My kind of woman." Dick took a last drink of his scotch then set the glass down on the bar. He made his way over and he made sure to be careful to not lose his focus off of you. He felt like if he looked away, that he would never get to see you again. When he reached you he smiled at you and greeted you. "Hello." He said.

You looked at him and couldn't help but smile. "Hello." You greeted back. Oh he was a handsome devil. The very dark hair, the blue eyes, and the chiseled jaw. Oh he looked as a ladies man, and yet that one guy you would let him take you in for one night then leave. Yet you wouldn't regret it for a second.
