Thought it would hurt,
When once close, stuck to
Everything, friends would leave.
Thought it would stab,
My heart, when we would
Depart from one another,
And it did. Felt like the
Bleeding wouldn't stop,
The heart to be deserted,
But no, I was wrong, it wasn't so.
Neither were they lonely,
Nor was I. They got new ones,
Polished, I got some too,
Polished, maybe not raw.
Heart never replaces but exchanges,
Welcomes new, to reduce pain.
Love isn't limited,
Never keeps lonely,
You never stay loveless.
