That massive tree fell
With its rock trunk, strong branches;
When after years,
Finally won the winds with rain.It tried its best to stand up.
When couldn't, tried blooming lying.
Each time it bloomed a little,
Thrashed the others stamping, teasing.It cried for nights,
It woke up depressed.
Years went by, it smiled at night,
Woke up smiling, not knowing smile.It didn't feel betrayed anymore,
Nor did it hurt, nor pained.
None could prick,
None could pierce anymore.One night realisation hit;
It wasn't sad, wasn't hurt,
But neither could laugh,
Nor feel elated, just surviving.Under the moonlit night sky,
The stars twinkled,
The sky showered flowers;
Came she closer.The love that bloomed under it,
A love that promised never to leave,
The closed eyes that believed
The blue love to be pink.She wasn't sad anymore,
Neither did she feel betrayed,
Nor could she laugh,
Or could feel elated.She bent to touch the fallen tree
And spoke cotton,
"I bloomed under you, I fell, too,
Don't feel lonely, I'm now just like you."- Zayana Cullen
