I went to the woods,
The spring break.
After the frozen nights,
Frozen heart, flowers started
To bloom, colours peeping
Out of the blinding white.
Heart started warming up,
Nights started lightening.I went to the woods,
The summer morning.
Leaves rustling, warm breeze.
My lonely hand, accompanied
By another, a pair of feet,
Replaced by two.
Warm heart was hot then,
Dawn was full morning.I went to the woods,
The autumn afternoon.
Leaves on the ground, beautiful
Yet dead, colourful yet colourless.
My hand was left, two pairs of feet, Reduced to one, once again.
Hot heart was warm again,
Dawn was dusk then.I went to the woods,
The winter twilight.
Leaves buried under snow,
Sparkling, yet didn't sparkle.
My lonely hand turned cold,
My feet caught frost bite.
Warm heart was frozen,
Dusk was dark, freezing night again.- Zayana Cullen
