Numb

She didn't scream,
Neither angry nor disgusted.
A calm mind was her,
What everyone saw and knew,
And indeed was made by then.

Times were still there
When her calm mind distressed,
She talked a bit pitch high.
Her elders scolded, screamed
For that wasn't expected.

Who knew her world was crumpled,
Inside she was dying everyday.
The person she held onto,
Who promised to be waiting,
Went away once again.

Everyone went away,
Everything got destroyed.
Remaining were dear,
But binding emotions were horrifying,
For every time opening up left broken.

Silence, silence and silence.
No protest, no defence.
Wishing to change her appearance.
Sleeping all day long. Who knew
Signs were these, intensely depressed soul.

She felt numb, living was no longer an excitement
But a chore she had to do, everyday.
She played with the dust particles,
She watched the fan spin,
Lying there, she felt numb and number within.
