Book Reports

I HATE book reports. I'm in an accelerated reading class and we do 3 of them every year. The teacher thinks we have a great time doing these but they are not fun.

The first one we do is a power point you have to present in front of the class. This one is not that bad.

Then we do a dress-up book report. You have to dress up and act like the main character in your book. This one sounds fun and some of it is but most of it is just super stressful. You have to buy/ make a costume, find a prop, and practice a ton because you're not aloud to look at your script.

Everyone spends so much time and money trying to make their costume. Some people even dye their hair just to look like a character in their book.

The 3rd one is a group dress-up book report. It's exactly like the dress up one but in a group. Everyone gets in groups of three and dresses up as the three main characters in whatever book they choose. We only have 9 people in our class so it works but there's one boy in our class. Everyone hates him and someone is going to be stuck with him.

All of the  book reports have to be in between 7 and 9 minutes. I never make it in the time limit and I always try so hard to. Stupid time limits.

Then also the teacher is always making you more stressed.

"If you having finished your book yet then I'm very nervous for you"

"You NEED to practice every day"

"If you don't make the time limit then you'll die!"

I shouldn't even be that stressed over it. We take a summative every day in that class and its only two points off if you don't get in the time limit. Oh well. I should probably go work on my book report. Bye!
