Akane POV

"The paperwork Chiharu sent me sure is a lot, is she planning on working me to death?"

I told myself as I heard the door open, turning my head towards the door. There stood Yuni, my mood lightened up for a bit. However something is different about her, she seems absentminded for some reason.

"Is something the matter Yuni?"

I asked whilst having a troubled look on my face, I wish Yuni would be open herself up to me more. I stood up my chair and asked.

Yuni shook her head in denial, she smiled and reply.

"No, why did you ask Akane."

Despite her attempt to lie, I can see through her facade. She is troubled by something, I want her to tell me what's wrong.

"Yuni..."

I put down my my quill, leaning closer to her I notice her flustered face, trembling hands and her gaze at my neck.

"Are you perhaps hungry? Do you want to drink my blood?"

Yuni quickly shook her head and replied.

"I-I'm fine, I don't want to drink blood."

With a beet red face, Yuni took a step back. Further questioning would lead us nowhere. I sighed and told her.

"Is that so? If you need something, don't be afraid to ask okay?"

I sat down my chair, Yuni on the other hand left the room. After finishing my paperwork, hearing the sound of knocking on the door, I stood up and asked.

"Who is it?"

"It's me Milady!"

I opened the door, to my surprise to find Yuka at the door.

"It's already late, do you need something from me?"

"Nothing in particular."

It's already been six hours since Yuni left, I wonder where she's gone?

"Lieutenant Yuka, could you have perhaps seen where Yuni had went?"

Yuka nodded, I tightly grasp her hands and lightly shaked her body while asking her in a panicked tone.

"Where is she? Tell me where did you see her she had been gone for a few hours."

Yuka panicked a bit and sighed.

"She went to a pond, located south, there's really no need to panic milady, some guards are there on the area to keep her safe."

I let out a sigh of relief as I let go of Yuka.

"Thank you Lieutenant."

"Nn."

I hastily left the fort without a informing any of the troops patrolling the area.

The pathway was dark, aside from the moonlight, which illuminated light, the entire forest was engulfed in darkness.

I was dumbstruck when I saw the figure of a girl, one with long silver hair, Scarlet right and golden left and a pair of sharp fangs. Without a doubt it was Yuni!

"Mother... Where are you? I miss you so much!"

I unconsciously took a step forward, which in turn alerted Yuni of my presence.
