25: Date

Akane's PoV

After arguing for a few hours, Yuka and Ange finally gave in and accepted my proposed idea.

Ange, Yuni and I along with three guards would go to the village.

I put on a white one piece dress, strapped on my waist are two weapons. An arming sword, and the sword I commissioned from Rolance, a wakizashi.

Yuni wore a white shirt and a blue miniskirt, while Ange wore a red gown.

Our first destination is the village inn, I opened the door, the doorbell rang and people glanced over to our direction.

We walked up to the reception desk, I placed a few silver coins on the counter and asked the receptionist.

"Give us two triple bed rooms."

"As you wish."

The receptionist nodded, and left the counter to guide us to our rooms.

Our group was guided to the second floor, where our rooms are located. I locked the door and sat on the bed.

"Did you noticed anyone acting strange on the lobby?"

"I'm not sure, too many people were glaring at us, it made me feel uncomfortable."

Ange replied, she sighed and asked.

"Are you sure this plan is going to work?"

"It will work, I'll make sure it works. I have a plan after all."

I took out all our money and placed it on the table.

"Two hundred silver coins, Ange do you know how much it cost to buy a carriage and hire a coachman?"

"Thirty should be enough for a carriage, as for the coachman between three to seven silver coins."

I clapped my hands and smiled.

We should have more than enough money, however I should say goodbye to this month's salary.

"Tomorrow we shall buy goods in the village, travel on routes that in which the bandit's frequently attack merchants."

I took out a whistle from my bag, Ange looked at it with curiosity and asked.

"What is it?"

"This is how we'll signal Yuka and her troops that we've encountered the bandits, she's also sent another group to watch over us from a distance."

"This whistle is enchanted by magic, it's sound is amplified when hears by magic users, it will also guide them to the whistle's location."

Yuni looked displeased with my plan, she sighed in frustration.

"Do you basically want to be bait for the bandits?"

"That's the plan."

"You're so hopeless Akane, why must you be reckless?"

"The bandits are smart, we need to lure them out, Ange-san I'll entrust you with hiring a coachman, along with buying a carriage."

I placed all the coins in a leather bag and handed it to Ange, surprised she asked.

"Why?"

"I feel like it's something I can entrust you with."

I entered the bed and closed my eyes. With a voice that hints drowsiness I told the two.
