Zara's POV

I walk down the street to Finn's trailer. I've decided I'm going to give him a piece of my mind. I'm done crying. And I'm done forgetting. I raise my hand to knock on his door but it's not even fully shut, so I just walk in. Finn is sitting on his couch looking at the floor. Tissues are strewn around his floor and he's crying. This is not what I was expecting.
"Finn." I say with a monotone sound. He turns to me and starts to cry even harder. As much as I'm mad, I can't bear to see him like this so I look down too. "Why?" I simply ask. He looks up at me.
"Zara, I'm so sorry. I mean it. I am. I was mean to you every season, every day, and I'm sorry that I didn't tell you. But the only reason I didn't tell you is because I really, really want to be with you, and I knew you would hate me if I told you." At this point he is fully breaking down and I can't help but sit down next to him. He looks at me and I see the sadness in his eyes and I don't stop myself from wrapping my arms around him and holding him. He sobs into my arms as I gently stroke his back.
"Finn, why were you mean to me?" I ask, not wanting to hurt him even more, but clearly failing.
"I only pretended to hate you because I like you and I didn't think you would like me back. I know it sounds so stupid but it was easier to hate than want something I couldn't have." He sobbed. I try to process this, but it's simple and complicated at the same time. And I don't know what to think. "If you're going to hate me for the rest of our lives, please, just hold me for a few more seconds." He pleads. But minutes pass and I don't let go of him, instead I just keep holding him tight.

Three o'clock rolls around and Finn is still in my arms, but he's fallen asleep. I lightly stroke his hair. He looks calm asleep compared to his hysterical crying hours ago. My phone starts to ring and I release one of my hands to answer it.
"Hello?" I say in a whisper.
"Hi Zara, it's Ross, are you on your way to set?" Ross Duffer asks, sounding slightly annoyed at my lateness. Finn wakes up at the sound of Ross's voice.
"Yep! I'm just walking over now." I lie to him, still whispering.
"Why are you whispering?" He asks me.
"I just like whispering." I lie again.
"Uh, okay. And if you see Finn, tell him to come too. I have a feeling that we're going to have a time slot open after we finish the scene with you and Caleb, and we can get some good shots of him and Millie for the trailer. See you soon." He hangs up, and Finn and I let go of each other. I reach down to grab a tissue and I wipe away the dried tears on his lightly freckled face. We get up and leave his trailer and start to run towards the set.
It's right down the road, so it only takes a few minutes to get to the studio entrance. Before Finn opens the studio doors, I grab his hand.
"Wait." I tell him as I let go of his hand. I wipe a fresh tear off of his cheek. "We can talk about this later, okay?" I say. He nods and opens the door for me, then follows.
"Took you long enough!" Ross says as he walks towards the two of us.

"Sorry," Finn says as he looks at me, "We were a little tied up."

Once we've gotten into costumes and makeup I head into "Hawkins Middle School" and Caleb is waiting there.
"And, action!" Someone yells, and we start to act.

"Max, I don't care that you think I'm a nerd! I will never stop fighting for you!"

(Lucas grabs Max's hand)

"Lucas, I..."

"Max, will you go out with me?"

"Lucas..."

"Look, you don't need to give me an answer right now, just think abo..."

"Lucas, I was going to say, I'd love to."

"That was perfect, you two! I don't even think we need another take! Caleb, Zara, you're done for the day." Matt Duffer tells us.

"Finn, you and Millie can stand to the left and we'll snap a few photos of you for some new trailers coming out." Ross Duffer tells them through a megaphone. As Finn walks to the side Millie is waiting at, he stops and asks me, "Can we talk tonight?"
I nod and leave the set. I go into my trailer and walk into the bathroom. I take a long, hot shower. Some time to think is all I need. Actually, someone to talk to would be better, but talking to Finn about Finn is problematic, Millie's working, and so is mom. So I guess I'll figure this one out on my own.
————————————————————————
There's a knock on the door and I get up to go and answer it. I swing it open, and Finn is standing there. He's fiddling with his hands and I remember that he has anxiety. That must make this a million times harder than it has to be.
"Come in." I gesture as I walk back to the chair I was sitting at by my kitchen table. He sits down in the chair opposite to me. He starts to speak, but I stop him.
"Finn." I look at him with his glossy eyes and dark locks and I'd be a damn liar if I said I wasn't gonna forgive him. I think grudges are stupid and as idiotic as his plan was, he had good intentions. I stand up and so does he. I walk towards him and hug him tightly.
"I forgive you."
