Of course the Gods want me to suffer greatly, and there sits Finn, his eyes bulging at the sight of who he's going to have to sit next to. He slips his luggage under the seat as I turn to my mother, who is sleeping already. Shoot. Now I have no distraction to keep me from conversing with him. I see him quickly glance at me from the corner of my eye, most likely checking to see if I'm looking at him. This was going worse than a plane crash. I almost immediately shudder that thought away for two reasons. One, I'm on a plane, and two, that's terrifying. I can't wait any longer. I have to break the silence. " Hey!" I sputter extremely oddly. "Hi!" He replies in an surprised, almost shocked voice. He stares at me for a few seconds then pulls out his almost dead phone hastily, while shoving his earbuds into place. "Okay, then." I think to myself as I pick up the book that I placed into the pouch in front of me. I read the title once more. "Loving You" was scrolled onto the front in a cursive like font that made it seem like it was from a different century. There was an image of two silhouettes, a woman's and a man's, holding hands on a beach. Cheesy. I know. But I was already at the climax.

CHAPTER 11

"Alex! I'm tired of this! Why have you ignored me all these years? If I did something to you, spit it out!" Emma scolded powerfully. " I..." He stuttered shyly. Silence. "You're a coward, and you always will be." She spat, turning away, her cheeks now a scarlet red. " Wait! It's because, because I love you."

I slowly shut the book. Even though it was the worst place to get advice from, it was kinda perfect. Finn had been ignoring me since the second he saw me, almost a year. He hardly speaks, to me at least, and he always seems shy. But that would mean... "Let's go." Mom shook me out of me my daze as I stare around the deserted plane.

We walk out of the plane gates into Atlanta International Airport. I stretch my aching limbs. No matter how many times I fly, I still will never get used to the feeling. It grosses me out. I start to walk to the Starbucks across from me. If there was one thing I needed, it was a latte. Being my clumsy self, the first step I took just happens to be on a puddle of clear liquid that was extremely slippery, sending me to the floor in a huge mess. Great. Just great. I brush as much off as I can. Finally giving up, I stand up to see Finn's brother standing (more like towering due to his height) right in front of me.
