Zara's POV

"Grandpa?" I mutter to myself as I see him sitting at a table. Actually, I see lots of my family members sitting at a long white table. I try to go to them but I can't. There's a thick glass wall between us. I bang my hands against it, but they don't notice I'm there. Then I realize, every one of these family members has passed. I stop hitting the glass and look down. I scream but no sound comes out. I'm standing on Finn's body, or what's left of it. There's a big gash in his chest and I can see his ribs and heart. It's not beating. I step of off him and look at the vacant expression on his face. I start to cry. I bend down and touch his face, but I pushed him too much, and his lifeless body tumbles down a pile of bodies, that I now realize are there. I'm standing on a pile of dead people. I slowly turn in my spot at the top and see Millie, Mom, Tyrone, Gaten, Caleb, Noah, The Duffers, my family, school friends, fans. Everyone I know and love. I start to bawl and I try to get off of the pile, but I can't, the room is full of them. I look back at my relatives sitting at the table and they're smiling at me, no laughing. They're laughing at me bawling. I try to step off of the pile again, but I see something closer to the ground. Red, bubbling liquid with swirls of deep orange and black starts to rise. Lava. It's rising higher and higher, and soon Finn is no longer visible underneath it, just his curly hair that floats above the surface. It continues to fill the room. I scream in agony as it pools around my legs. It climbs up to my face and my skins starts to melt. I can smell my own burning flesh. Suddenly, my face is submerged and I can't breathe. It's scorching and it feels like hell.
Hell.

I gasp for air. I look down at myself as my eyes adjust to the light. My arms are covered in cute and bruises. My head is pounding. Some girl is sitting in the room, asleep. I want to talk to her, ask her what happened, but my throat hurts. I swallow with pain and try to speak.
"Hello?" I croak. The girl turns, yawns and wakes up. The girl then notices I'm awake.
"Zara, you're okay!" She says with a British accent.  She gently squeezes my hand and pulls her hand back at the sight of her expression.
"Zara, what's wrong?" She asks.
I'm so confused.
"Who are you?" I ask.
"Zara, it's Millie! Your best friend?" She says with concern. That still doesn't help and she clearly knows that because her eyes widen and start to water at my confused expression and she dashed out of the room. What's going on?
Moments later, she came back with a doctor and my mom.
"Hi Zara. I know you must be very confused right now." The doctor tells me. I nod to reply.
"Zara, do you know who this is?" He points to my mom. I nod. "And do you know Millie?" He questions. I shake my head as if to say no. Who is Millie? What happened?
"What happened?" I struggle to ask.
"I'll be right back and explain everything to you." He smiles and exits the room with my mom and the girl following behind.

Millie's POV

I walk outside of the hospital room with Zara's mom. The doctor guides us back into the room where Millie, Finn, and Noah are sitting. They have some minor injuries, but for the most part, they're okay.
"I thought it was best to tell you all at once. Zara is going to be okay. She sustained many bruises and cuts from the glass falling on her after she collapsed. But the bullet went through her head in a way that she only lost her recent memory. Memory from the past few years. This is why she can remember her mom, but not Millie. She is extremely lucky. If the bullet was even a millimetre closer, we would be having a very different discussion. She won't remember any of you, but she will be okay. You can go see her now, but one at a time. But first Zara's mom and I are going to explain to her what happened." He finishes.

"So, she won't know who we are, or what we've said to her?" Finn asks quietly.

"No, she will have no memory of any of you. I'm very sorry." He finishes as him and Zara's mom exit the room.

Zara's POV

Mom and the doctor enter the room again and come up to me.
"What happened? Why am I here?" I ask.

"Sweetie, you were in a shooting. You lost your memory from the past few years. You got that role in Stranger Things. Do you remember that audition?" She asks. I nod. "You and the cast were at an event, and you saw a man with a gun. You took a bullet for one of the cast members." She finishes. I don't know what to say. So I just look at her. "Sweetie, I'm so, so sorry, but I have to go back home. My flight is in an hour and I have to get back to work. Are you going to be okay?" She asks. I nod again. She gives my hand a squeeze and leaves the room.
"Is it okay if some of the cast members come and see you?" The doctor asks.
"Sure." I say. Suddenly a jolt of pain shoots through my head. "My head really hurts." I tell the doctor.
"I'll have a nurse give you some pain medication." He says as he exits the room.
Then, a boy comes into the room. His hair is curly and dark, and there's a small cut on his arm.
"Hi." He mutters. I look at him confused and he looks down.
"Hi." Reply.
