Zara's POV

A red rose. Finn is giving this random girl a red rose. I try to calm myself down at the sight of this. Finn would never cheat, right? She probably just dropped it or something and Finn being the nice, sweet, not cheating guy that he is, picked it up for her. Right?
Wrong. Because the next thing I see is Finn leaning into her. As they kiss, tears start to pour out of my eyes. I slam the ice cream tray onto the ground, splattering it everywhere. The loud sound catches the attention everyone on the pier, including Finn and that dumb girl.
"Zara, wait!" He yells, finally noticing me. I just turn and run. I run as fast as I can, bumping into people and even shoving some out of the way. I'm blinded by my tears. He lied to me. He lied to me twice, and I was such a goddamn fool to believe him. Millie was right, I'm better off on my own. I've made it back to the front entrance and I see a taxi. I wipe my eyes as best as I can, and mope into the taxi. I give the driver directions back to the set, and she takes off. The whole 20 minute ride I sit in silence, quiet tears still spilling from my red eyes.
My phone pings, then pings again. They're messages from Millie.

Millie: What happened? I just saw you drop the ice cream from the Ferris wheel!

Millie: Are you okay?

I ignore them, but keep getting more throughout the whole drive home.

Millie: WHERE ARE YOU????

Noah: Z, Where did you go?

Millie: What happened????

I don't want to worry them, so I reply.

Me: I'm fine.

That's a flat out lie. I'm not fine. I stuff my phone into my bag and ignore the constant sound of notifications pinging.
"Is that your boyfriend texting you? He must love you." The cab driver hollers in a southern accent. My blood starts to boil even more at this remark.
"Trust me, he doesn't."

Millie's POV

"Zara still isn't answering!" I exclaim to Noah with frustration. We're still on the Ferris wheel.
"Mills, she's fine, calm down." Noah says, grabbing my hand.
"Why wasn't Finn with her? We need to get off and make sure she's okay." I say. Noah agrees with a nod. A few minutes of silent panicking pass, and the ride comes to a halt. Noah and I run out as fast as we possibly can and race to the pier where Zara and Finn were supposed to be waiting for us. Neither one of them was in sight.
"I'm gonna call Finn." Noah says. His phone rings, and I wait nervously, pacing around and fidgeting with the tassle on my purse. He picks up, and Finn mumbles something, then hangs up before Noah can even get a chance to speak.
"What did he say?" I ask.
"He says to leave him alone." Noah replies with a concerned expression on his face.
"Maybe we should just go home."

Zara's POV

I get into my trailer and toss my stuff at the wall. I sink to my knees and bawl. There's a hole in my chest and I'm dizzy. All I feel is tears, and darkness, and sadness. I lie on my living room floor and cry myself to sleep for the second time in my life, both because of Finn.

(Still Zara's POV)

A constant, annoying pinging noise wakes me up. I know almost instantly it's my phone. I have the sudden urge to pick it up and throw it into the trash, but I resist. I look at the blindingly bright screen to check it. The sound was a message from Millie. But that was just one of the 76 notifications she sent me within the span of 6 minutes. I open messages and read the latest one.

Millie: THATS IT. IM COMING OVER TO CHECK ON U

I have no will to get ready or even leave the floor. I didn't even lock the door last night so I just lay on the ground. I want to tell Millie everything. Almost ten minutes pass, and Millie knocks on the door.
"It's open." I croak. My throat is sore from crying so hard. She slowly steps into the room, like I'm a dangerous animal at a zoo, and she's wandered into my cage.
"Oh my gosh! What happened?" She asks as she bends down to the ground to get closer to me. I tell her everything between sobs and sniffles. After a few minutes, I've explained everything.
"I can't believe it. What an idiot." Millie states.
"I can't believe I trusted him. That was so dumb of me." I cry.
"No, no, no! He's the dumb one. He's losing you." She says to me.
"I guess." I sigh.
"You know what you need? The rest of the kids and I are going to do a little campfire tonight. We can make s'mores, chat, and most importantly, take your mind off of you know who." Millie suggests.
"I don't know, won't he be there?" I wonder.
"Well, I didn't invite him, did I?" She smiles.
"I can't. I can't do it." I cry again, this time more tears falling down my face.
"You're going to go. Now, get up and shower. I'm going to your closet to pick out your outfit." Millie demands.

Noah's POV

I wanted to call Finn, to see what was going on. But every time I did, it went to voicemail. I didn't want to just barge into his trailer, so I send him a text.

Me: Hey Finn

Finn: Not now Noah

Me: Dude what happened

Finn: Leave me alone

Me: I will if you do one thing for me

Finn: What

Me: I'm doing a campfire with the boys so come

Finn: no

Me: you have to or I'll do it right outside your trailer

Finn: if I say yes will you let me be

Me: yes

Finn: then yes

Great. At least then he can tell me what's going on.
