Zara's POV

"The thing I regret most is kissing that girl in the pier. It was all a publicity stunt and I was given an ultimatum by my agency." Finn stands up and turns towards me. "Zara, I'm so sorry. I should never have chosen acting over you. It was so, so stupid and I don't care if this ends my career. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't tell you. For the rest Of my life I'll regret singing with..."
Suddenly the teleprompter tells Amanda Jones to cut him off. But I'm not really paying attention to what's going on because Finn may have just risked his career on live television for me.
"I'm sorry, that's all we have time for. Keep watching after this short break." Amanda Jones states towards the cameras. The broadcast ends immediately after. The angry man comes up to Finn, along with the director of the news channel.
"Finn! What's wrong with you? You're going to make us lose our jobs. In case you forgot, your talent agency is one of, if not, the most powerful agency in the business. You have just blacklisted yourself. And I'm not going to be around to take that heat. As your manager, I quit. You can kiss acting goodbye and you better call a lawyer because I'd bet on my life that they're going to sue you." He finishes and walks away. Millie comes up to me. I'm still frozen in shock and sitting in the same position.
"Come with me, Zara." She says seriously as she pulls me into an empty conference room. We sit down.
"Millie, what just happened?" I ask.
"Z, You may not remember this, but Finn signed one of the most strict contracts you can in the entertainment industry. He can't talk bad about himself, or the company, or anything that the company makes him do. If what he's saying is true, and the company really did make him go through with that publicity stunt, then they won't hold back." Millie states, worry lining her whole face.
"What do you mean they won't hold back?" I reply quickly.
"Finn could be looking at jail time. Or at the very least, losing everything." Millie says. At this, my mouth falls open. My phone starts to ring and I pull it out of my pocket, part of me hoping that it's Finn, but it's my manager, Trish. Millie is represented by Trish too. I put it on speaker for Millie to hear.
"Trish!" I exclaim, with panic in my voice.
"Zara, are you alone?" She asks.
"I'm just with Millie, but we're alone."
"Zara, I saw the interview. And I know you're going to want to help Finn. So listen carefully to me. For now, you have to stay away from him. You too, Millie. People are going to think that you made him say this to make it look like he didn't cheat on you." She explains.
"I don't care if they make me look bad. I want to make sure he's okay!" I yell at her, and instantly feel guilty about it. She's one of the best people I know.
"No, whatever hate you get, it'll be ten times worse for him. I'm booking a flight right now. I'll be there tomorrow. Hang tight." She hangs up. I start to silently hyperventilate.
"Millie, what do I do?"
"We listen to Trish. We ignore Finn. And we go home and pretend that nothing happened."

Zara's POV
We're all sitting in Millie's trailer, waiting for Finn to get out of a call with his lawyers. We've been waiting for 3 hours at this point and the rest of the kids are sitting at Millie's kitchen table. I'm sitting on her couch staring out the window that looks out to the beautiful mountains. I feel so confused. I'm not supposed to care about him anymore but I feel like I care the most right now. I feel like how Finn felt when I saved his life. If it weren't for me, he wouldn't be in this predicament. I just want to hug him and punch him at the same time. Another hour passes until Finn walks into the room. He looks straight at me more calmly than he should be right now considering everything.
"They dropped me from the agency." He says plainly. I walk out of the trailer to mine, which is right in front of Millie's with tears effortlessly falling. I sink down, leaning against it. Finn comes running out right behind me.
"Z, the Duffers are letting me stay in Stranger Things." He says as he sits down next to me.
"What about after Stranger things, when you have no managers, agents, or the Duffers to back you up and you're blacklisted. What about then?" I reply, possibly too harshly, but I don't really care.
"I'll figure it out." He says back to me.
"Finn, you should stay away from me. I just cause you more damage." I tell him. I've stopped crying at this point.
"No. You don't do anything. It's always me. But this time, I don't care what happens to me. The only thing I care about is if you're okay." He says.
"How can you not care! You just threw everything you worked for away, and for nothing!" I spit.
"Not for nothing." He pulls me into a hug and I try to push him off, but he's stronger than we all give him credit for, so I hug back.

Zara's POV

"Are you guys ever going to move?" Caleb says to us, seriously perplexed at why we've been hugging each other in the same spot for like 20 minutes. Caleb, Gaten, Noah, and Millie are all sitting on Millie's outdoor patio furniture just watching us and sipping their drinks.
"Caleb, leave them alone. They're back together!" She says with a smile.
"Are we?" I whisper into Finn's hoodie so nobody but us can hear.
"I hope so, but I'm not going to make you do anything. I was terrible to you." He whispers back.
"You'll do better this time."
