Hey peeps. I have a friend who really wanted to be in the story, so I'm changing y/n to hers (Zara). Feel free to just imagine that it's your name (that's what I do:). Enjoy!

I step into the venue and look around at the gorgeous details. From what I can see, there is a tall platform in the middle of the tan toned room and a long table. I practically stumble around all the camera-people and agents to reach the seat with my name tag. Thank god. I'm between Millie and Noah. Finn is a couple seats down from us in a black suit. Millie is wearing a fitted and gold long sleeve top with a meshy, white tule skirt. Caleb is wearing a blue and white tux. And Noah has a snappy vest on in the same red tint as I do. I pick up the Evian water bottle in front of me, unscrew the lid, and take a dainty sip. I wasn't so parched anymore, but it didn't take away the nerves of tonight. I never had stage fright but press parties were different, because you can't redo on live TV.
"Hey." Millie nudges me.
"Hey." I say a bit nervously.
"Don't look now but someone's staring at you!" She teases. I roll my eyes and turn my head around and expect it to be a reporter or something but the only one really looking at me is Finn. As soon as I catch his eyes he turns away.

The night continues on with reporters and journalists asking us the typical questions like what our favourite scenes were and what our favourite thing about the experience was, etc. It's pretty normal until one short, stout reporter with a sharp goatee emerges from the sea of people.
" My question is for Noah and you," He awkwardly gestures to the both of us with his huge camera. "Did you two plan those matching outfits?" He asks. Before we even get a chance to answer the question, others shout out follow-ups.
" Are you two a couple?"
" What's your ship name?"
"How long have you been together?"
They keep coming though Noah and I are quickly trying to shut it down in the best and calmest way you can on nation-wide live TV, but it's 2 versus 200, until Finn grabs his microphone and stands up.
"Hey, hey! They're not together. It's just a coincidence. They're both single!" He says kindly but with a touch of protection.
Now this, this just makes my blood boil. First he ignores me, then he thinks I can't stand up for myself. He sits down and the night starts to come to a close.

We end up all riding back together in a limousine since we're all going back to the same hotel. I sit in the very back with Millie, since she gets car sick in the front. And the boys sit in front of us.
"What happened out there?" She says.
"I have no clue! That was insane. I'm so pissed. He can't just talk for me!" I whisper back so they boys don't hear.
" You're right. I'm gonna say something to him." She decides.
" No, no, no, no, no. Do not dig a deeper hole just bec..." I get cut off by her standing up and walking over to Finn.
" Finn. I just thought you should know that you don't have to speak for Zara. She is a strong, confident, beautiful young women with thoughts for herself." She spits.
" I know that, I just, I, sorry. He whispers quite carelessly.

Noah's POV

" What happened at the press party, bro?" I ask Finn, my hotel roommate.
"Let's just say it definitely was not a normal press party for me." Finn says back to me.
"No offence dude, but you're acting kinda weird. Are you cool?" I ask Finn with some genuine concern for him.
"Yea, yea I'm fine, Noah." Finn says to me.
" Okay, because I'm going to ask you something and I really need your input. You know how that journalist guy thought Zara and I were a couple?" I say.
"Yea! I was there." Finn yelps sarcastically.
"Well I never really thought of her like that. But now that it's in my head, I kind of like the idea of us together. She's gorgeous, I'm gorgeous and when you stood up and sorted it all out, I was honestly kinda upset because I liked the thought of us being a thing. So Finn, I think I'm gonna ask her out."
