"What is all of this?!" She cried. "Why are you doing this?"

He didn't respond, he just stared at her through the helmet that Riel hated so very much.

"Please," She whispered. "Please, stop all of this."

No answer. Instead, he held his hand out and Riel crumpled to the ground.

From the moment she had awoken, Riel had known that she had to leave. After what she had seen on the mission, innocent lives being taken by the First Order, she couldn't stay. She didn't know where she could go, she didn't feel like she was exactly ready to go home and face whatever was waiting for her there, not that she could even remember how to get there.

Of course, there was always the option of getting back to her ship and leaving that way, but it was too heavily guarded and Riel knew that despite being able to use the force, she wasn't strong enough to take them all on. If she used it too much or too frequently, she would feel light-headed and she needed all of her energy to escape. She would need to craft her plan carefully and cautiously.

The cogs in her head began to turn.

From one of her previous "field trips" through the ship, she remembered seeing a row of escape pods. They seemed easy enough to launch, so Riel hoped that she would be able to manage one by herself. She mapped out the route in her head so as to avoid as many guards as possible. As she crept through the long corridors, Riel felt like her heart would burst out of her chest. If she were caught now, there was no telling what Kylo Ren would do to her.

She shuddered at the thought. She couldn't focus on that though. She had to keep moving.

By the time she had reached the escape, she felt as though an eternity had passed. She set to work, frantically pressing different buttons inside the pod to launch it. Just as it revved to life, she felt a cold, gloved hand on her shoulder.

She whipped her head around, expecting it to be Kylo Ren, but instead found a stormtrooper.

"You are not permitted to be here," the metallic voice said, their grip tightening to steel.

Riel's eyes widened, her mind frantically searching for an excuse. "I was just.. Um.. exploring?" She offered.

The stormtrooper made a noise that suspiciously resembled a scoff. "You'll have to come with me, your highness."
