"I was so afraid that you were going to die."
Small tears have bubbled up at the corners of his eyes. Hus hands firmly clasped y/n's own hands.
"Don't ever do that again, y/n. Please?"
He bent down and kissed her forehead gently.
"Please just stay in the village from now on."
His voice continued to crack though he tried not to let it show.
"Minato .."
A medical ninja stood behind him, "she's dead."
Her hands were cold and her face looked pale.
She was fine when he went after Hiro, but now-
Did he take too long?
Maybe if he stayed and ket Hiro go- no. Hiro deserved what was coming to him, but now y/n is gone. She died.

She can't be-
"Minato, wake up."
My head snapped up a second later with y/n gently shaking me awake.
"You were having a bad dream, so I was trying to wake you up .. I mean, you look tired, but nightmares-"
My mouth went dry as I took her face into my hands.
"You're alive? So, that was a dream..."
Her eyes shone with worry as she raised her own hands and started to pull me towards her, and then I found myself trapped into a tight hug. Though, I wasn't complaining.
"I won't die...because you'll save me everytime, right?"
I smiled as I hugged her back, "yeah."
But I still let her get hurt, didn't I? I didn't even know she was in trouble.
