I wonder whether our emotions will remain as eternal as we think

Whether they will still allow anger to push us to our brink

Whether they will still allow depression to let our moods sink

Or let playful thoughts exist when somebody winks

They already got drugs to alleviate sadness

It may not take them too long to eliminate unhappiness

But will they be content to stop there?

Why would they then not cure our anger

Or take away our willpower

Why will they still let us possess our free emotions?

They all want society to work like arithmetic

But every time, human emotions don't let it tick

But if they get the control rod, the chemical stick

They would not hesitate to burn up emotions like a candle wick

To become capitalism's robots, the very thought makes me feel sick.

Hopefully I exaggerate and this won't happen,

But if it does, remember, I predicted it with ma pen.
