~~~~Saoirse~~~~
Our first two nights in a strange alien castle on some planet far from home. And like most people I hardly got any sleep. We were all given our own separate rooms, but I could still hear Hunk's loud snoring from across the hall. I chose a room next to Shiro, it made me feel safer.
Along with the rooms, yesterday Allura and Coram gave us a tour of the Castle, showing us most of the rooms, mostly the bridge, kitchen, dining hall and other important rooms that we may need in the near future.
After about an hour of trying to get back to sleep, I gave up and got dressed in my paladin armor. I didnt know whether we were going to do something paladin related today, but it was better to be prepared just in case.
I brushed out my hair and put it up in a high ponytail, wrapping individual braids around the hair band.
All of a sudden, the alarms sounded blaring loudly in my ears.
"Everybody up! Zarkon's attacking!" Allura shouted through the PA system. I grabbed my bayard that was on the ledge on the wall and ran out of my room, finding Shiro running down the hall towards the bridge.
"The Castle is about to be destroyed!"
"Shiro!" I shouted catching up with him.
"Saoirse." He said smiling at me.
"Go, go, go! We need Voltron now! Hurry! We can't survive much longer!"
"Oh, no! Allura is dead!" Coran shouted as we reached the bridge with Keith, Hunk and Pidge.
The sky was clear. The clouds rolling through the clear blue. No signs of anything hostile in the area.
"Aw, it's horrible! Her head fell off!" Coran continued to scream as he collapsed to his knees, "Wait! What? Her severed head is trying to speak to me! What is it, Allura's head? What are your final words?"
"Coran." Allura said as she deactivated the alarms.
"Oh, yes, Princess, I'm listening."
"It's over."
"Oh, I know! If only Voltron had been formed." Coran stopped groaning on the ground and looked up to see us, except for Lance, standing in front of them.
"Oh! Time!"
"I guess this isn't an actual attack." Shiro said.
"And it's a good thing it wasn't because it took you... Coran?" Allura asked.
"Seventy-five degrees." He answered, confusing us all. "Oh, sorry. This is a meat thermometer."
Allura sighed angrily, "However long it was, it was too long. You must always be ready to do battle with Zarkon. Look at you! Only Shiro and Saoirse are in uniform. Keith, Pidge, Hunk, where are your bayards? And where is Lance?"
Suddenly the door opened behind us and revealed our missing friend.
I sighed watching him walk in so casually in a blue robe, blue lion slippers and holding a cup of tea.
"Good morning, everybody." Lance greeted as he yawned and walked up to us, his face shimmering, "What's going on?"
"Coran and I have been up for hours vetting the Castle back in order." Allura answered, "We had to run a test on the alarms, and we decided to test you as well. Guess which one failed."
"Hey." Hunk said yawning, "You got to sleep for 10,000 years, man. Monday night, I was on Earth. Now, I've flown through space, fought some weird alien named Zarkon, eaten goo in some weird castle. That's a lot to process in, uh... I don't know. What day is it today?"
