~~~~Saoirse~~~~
I stood calmly in front of my grandfather, my lance in hand as he glared at me with so much anger that it was suffocating.
I didn't know what was happening outside this place, but I had a feeling that everyone was watching us.
"You seem to be shaking a little." My grandfather taunted me with a horrible laugh, "You must actually be afraid of fighting me. You don't have to die at my hands, you can just surrender and I'll send you away with your friends peacefully."
I looked down at the hand that clutched my lance tightly. I only saw the tiniest but of tremors coming from my hand. It was true. I was terrfied about losing this battle, but I wouldn't give up without a fight.
I wouldn't let this man contour to have his cold, unforgiving, hate filled grip on my mother's planet.
"I'm not shaking because I am afraid." I said, looking straight into his eyes, allowing him to see the pure determination and anger. He seemed to be shocked as he took a few cautious steps backwards.
"I'm shaking with all the determination I have gathered within myself to defeat you and free my mother's people! I will win! And you will no longer plague this world with your evil and greed!"
I was taken aback when I saw a blur rush towards me. Upon instinct, I lifted my lance and blocked the oncoming sword. The two weapons made a loud clanging sound and sparks from the colliding metals flew off from the impact.
I pushed with all the strength I had against my grandfather and sent him flying through the air, although not too far.
He skidded across the floor and landed perfectly on his feet a couple yards back.
"You seem strong enough to actually push me back. Your mother did say you had some kind of strength within you." My grandfsther said charging in for another attack, "But you will still fall by my hand!!"
I stood firm, trying to keep myself composed as he swung his sword above his head for downslash attack.
I blocked again with my lance, but I didn't notice that he had other tricks up his sleeve. I groaned loudly as I felt a heavy kick come into contact with my side. The force behind the kick sent me flying to the left. For some reason, the kick felt worse than a normal kick. Probably since it was from a powerful clan leader.
I flipped in the air and landed on my feet as I got closer to the floor, sliding to a stop, but I wasn't able to relax. I looked up and saw my grandfather rushing towards me even faster than he ran before. I was too slow to block it, so I twisted my body to dodge the attack.
The sword stabbed the ground and caused the ground to rise in fractured fragments. It was as if small mountains were being created from a single strike of his sword.
I summoned my wings and fles above the changing landscape, but suddenly, my wings began to shake and burn. My scar began to burn as well, making a horrible sense of fear anxiety run through my entire body.
The ground stopped shaking a minute later and I softly landed on one of the raised ground fragments. I looked down at the surface I stood on and saw the reflection of the starry galaxy sky above me.
All of a sudden, I felt a change in the wind come from behind me.
I quickly turned ariund and made it just in time to block my grandfather's sword from cutting me from behind.
I pushed him back, but he retaliated, raising his hand and gathering something in my palm.
"Take this you wretched child!" He shouted. I gasped when I was covered in a blanket of bright white light and felt the searing pain of what seemed to be fire.
