~~~~Saoirse~~~~
The battle to determine Earth's future was about to begin. I took one last look at Admiral Sanda, her lifeless body on the floor.
"Become the Admiral i couldn't be..." she said to me before she passed. And I wouldn't let her down. I will never break my promise to save Earth.
"What's the plan?" Lance asked.
"First off, we all need to get to our lions." I said, "I can feel my Lion calling me, so I'll head to her and meet you all outside."
I was about to take a step when I felt my head thump painfully. I held the side of my head, gasping from the sudden pain. I felt two hands grab my shoulders to steady my slightly swaying body from falling down.
"Saoirse." I heard Keith say to me in a worried tone, "Are you sure you'll be all right? You were in that strange container floating in that liquid for a while. Who knows what it could've done to you."
I sighed, the pain slightly fading away to a tolerable level.
"Don't worry, Keith. I won't let a little bit of pain stop me from keeping my promise." I said turning around to face my friends, "Get going. I'll be right behind you."
I turned back around and ran down the halls to find my lion. I wandered dowm the twisting halls until I found my way to the ship bay. I smiled when I saw my Silver Lion glowing.
She lowered her head and opened her mouth to let me inside. I quickly ran into the cockpit, sat down and flew my Lion through the wall to the outside, where I saw the other Lions flying nearby.
We flew in formation, forming Voltron in the blink of an eye and flying next to the Atlas. All of us were ready to finally finish off the invading Galra once and for all.
"Welcome back to the fight, Paladins." Shiro said through our radios, "Saoirse, are you all right? You weren't flying with the others a while ago."
"I'm fine, Takashi. I was just a little held up." I said, but I could tell that Shiro was worried.
"It's good to be back. You know, in our bodies." Hunk said.
"MFE pilots, what's your status?"
"Power is dropping." Griffin responded.
"Return to the Atlas and recharge."
"Copy that. We're on our way."
The MFEs flew back to the Atlas. I kept an eye on their energies as they entered the Atlas, but as I spread my abilities to see if there were any low energies, I saw two familiar ones.
"Shiro, are my mom and Lellal on the ship with you?" I asked.
"Yes. They insisted on coming up here to help in any way they could. In fact, if it wasn't for them, the Atlas would still be grounded." Shiro explained.
I didn't have to worry too much, but I still did. I knew my family could take care of themselves, but I didn't want to lose them so easily when we had just been reunited. We had to finish this, now.
Suddenly, Voltron and the Atlas came under heavy fire. The entire fleet was firing at us with everything they had. The Red and Gteen Lions blocked our more vital parts. The Silver armor has protecting places the arms could not, and I began to feel the pain caused by the blasts. The Red Lion fired towards the small fighters coming in for the attack on the Atlas.
The fighters were quickly destroyed, but we didn't stop. We flew around through the upper atmosphere, taking out ships left and right, covering the sky in balls of fire as ships after ship was shot down.
