My heart stopped in its tracks. The amount of energy coming from that ball of fire in the sky... it was terrifying.
We all watched from either the ground or in the sky as the large ball of fire came closer and closer towards Earth. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end as the energy came closer and closer to us.
"No!" Allura gasped.
"Paladins, brace for impact." Keith warned us, "Hunk, help me with Shiro."
Hunk, who has landed not too long ago and ran out to the ground, headed over to Keith and took Shiro from him. I used my powers to teleport back into my Silver Lion right before the unidentified object crashed to Earth's surface.
In an instant, the area was covered in dust as the new enemy crashed into Earth's surface.
All of our lions flew far away from whatever had just crashed, the dust and thrown rocks blinding us for the moment as the enrgy from this object grew even more by the second.
However, just as quickly as the dust rose from the ground, it began to settle and finally reveal this stranger invader.
I looked up through the window and saw the enemy. It was a large, white mech with a sharp bladed weapon in its left hand. It stood there on the crash site, not moving an inch. It made the tension in the air even more unsettling.
"Hunk, get Shiro to the Atlas. We'll cover you." Keith ordered.
"On it." Hunk replied.
I scanned the mech, but my scanners were acting strange. They wouldn't show me what this mech was made of, nor its current energy readings. The only thing that could tell me how powerful this mech was, were my powers and my scar warning me of the danger. And those feelings were extremely high.
The mech suddenly hummed with power, my scar beginning to burn hotter than I had ever felt it before. It stood up straight, raised its right arm and fired a barrage of rapid fire at us.
Immediately, we dodged the attacks and spread out to further thin the attacks. The Black Lion attacked, firing its own beam at the mech, but this was not enough.
The mech held up its weapon and spun it around to act as a shield and deflect the attack. Needless to say, the attack was deflected easily.
"That energy spectrum completely delfected our attack!" Allura shouted, "Saoirse, using your powers, what can you tell us about this mech?"
"My Lion's scanners can't pick up exactly how powerful this thing is, but from what my powers are telling me, and how badly my scar is burning, this mech is more powerful than anything I had ever seen." I explained, my voice softly shaking.
"Shiro is aboard the Atlas." Hunk said, filling me with relief for a moment.
The mech finally stopped spining its weapon and began to fire rapidly at us again. All of us dodged and activated our jaw blades to go in for a closer attack, but everytime we came in, the mech blocked us.
However, I noticed something. Instead of trying to hit my Lion whenever it could, the mech tried to grab me, as if it was desperate to take me and my lion. But why?
The Black Lion went in for through attack, but it was struck down. The mech ran up to the Black Lion with the intent to kill. But just as it was about to attack, all of our Lions fired their lasers to distract it so that Keith could escape.
"Keith, we got you covered. Get out of there!" Lance said, Keith taking advice and getting out of its range.
"Anyone have any idea where this thing came from?" Hunk asked.
