I walk into the cold library and walk to the tables when I catch Daniel. His hair is all messed up, leg bouncing, pen in mouth, reading some papers, and completely distressed.

"Hey," I whisper and his head snaps to look at me.

"Help." He whines and I smile, sit next to him and look over his messy, yet perfect handwriting.

"What are you thinking about writing?" I ask and look through his notes and his brainstorming lists.

"I honestly don't know. I've had like 100 fucking brain farts in the past 30 minutes." He says and puts his head in his hands. I put my hand on his back and rub.

"It'll be fine, don't sweat it. I'm sure it's not a big deal." I reassure him and he looks at me again. I smile.

"Can I tell you something? But you have to keep it to yourself." He sighs and turns to me.

"Uh, sure. I guess." I say and place my head on my hand.

"Mr. Harris is my dad." He sighs and my mouth goes dry, "that's why it's such a big deal. He expects me to be on my A-game all the time and it sucks. Him being the Principal makes it that much harder for me." He admits and I blink before coming back to reality.

"Well, push that thought aside, cause I'm here to help." I smile and he lazily smiles back.

"Ooh, I have an idea." I grab the notebook and jot it down, "we could do an exercise assistance thingy." I say and he looks confused, "we can just do a quick little exercise for you so it's not as important." I explain and he nods.

"That sounds much better than an essay made from my stupid head." He chuckles and I roll my eyes.

"You can't possibly be stupid." I chuckle and he looks at me.

"Because I'm the principal's son?" He asks and I shake my head.

"Well, yeah I guess. But also, you've obviously got some type of credit! Look at your brainstorming and research and notes. All of it seems like something an intelligent person would do. Even though it led to nothing." I tease and he smiles.

"I guess. Anyways, what's your idea?"

"So pretty much, we write silver linings," he smiles ear to ear, "we would write down something ugly and find the great things about it!" I say and he hugs me.

"Your a god damn genius." He gushes and I shrug.

"It's what I do best."

Rachel💞 is calling...

Finally.

"Where the hell have you been?" She yells into the phone.

"Me? You haven't called me in a week! A lot has happened Rachel." I exclaim and she gasps.

"Ooh, spill."

"Okay, so you know how I told you about my economics teachers assistant or whatever," she hums, "well, he's the principal son! We also worked on this project together since he needed my help. I don't think we were flirting but we might've been flirting. We hugged and he winked and we even got coffee and then he thanked me over and over and over. I just, I don't know. I don't like him, I don't think I do. I might. Oh, fuck." I ramble and she laughs.

"Wow, that's a lot."

"Oh yeah! There's a new girl named Leann, I accidentally mistook her to be straight but she was a lesbian! I don't think I've been so embarrassed. She's really sweet though." I gush and she sighs.
