"you and I," I point to me than him, "aren't dating." I say, finishing the stupid argument. He huffs as I move past him. I grab my phone, than my bag before looking back at him, "now can we please leave?" I ask and he keeps his eyes low before grabbing his bag and nodding. I leave the room and go down the stairs quietly before exiting.
It is true. We aren't dating. We're just kissing. A little more than kissing, but we aren't actually together.
After locking the door and going into the car, Shawn drives in silence. I stare at window catching glances at him in the reflection. He looks lost in thought. I turn to get a better look at him. One hand is on the steering wheel while the others supporting his head. His eyebrows are furrowed and his eyes are focused on the road. His mean demeanor makes me want to apologise for ruining his happy mood but, I really did nothing wrong. I push the though aside and stare back out the window.
After about 10 minutes it's 8:10 and Shawn pulls into the coffee shop. He unlocks the doors, getting out still not having said a word since we left the room. He walks slow until I stand next to him. I continue to walk, expecting him to put his hand on my back but he never does, only opening the door for me. I sigh and look around for Jake who's sitting by the window, my coffee cup waiting next to his. I walk to him, he sees me than frowns. I sit in one of the seats in front of him when I look where he's looking, realizing Shawn's not behind me, not next to me. Instead, he's standing at a table with all his friends... Including Maria. They all laugh and talk about something when he glances at me. I turn back around, heat rising to my face. I clench my fist at the thought of him even talking to Maria.
"I see the mornings going pretty rough." Jake teases and I glance up at him, trying to calm myself down, but my heart thuds in my chest like it's going to burst. He hands me my coffee and I take it.
"Thank you Jake." I say, smiling as best as I can but his eyes move behind me once more. I hear the door jingle open. I look behind me to be met by Shawn about to walk out with the rest of his friends.
"I'm leaving but, it doesn't really matter cause, we're not together, right?" He says in a petty voice. He leaves before I have a chance to say anything. I clench my jaw as I watch Maria sit in MY seat next to the driver.
"I'm gonna fucking murder him, I swear to g-" Jake says, beginning to stand up, but I shake my head.
"Don't worry about it. He's right, we're not together." I shrug, taking a sip of my coffee and he continues to stand up.
"I think I'm ready to leave." He growls and I sigh. I grab my bag next to me and stand up. I watch Shawn sit in the his seat as we exit the coffee shop. Jake puts his hand on my back to make me walk faster. He opens my door for me and I smile at him.
"Thanks." I say, I grip onto my coffee as he closes the door. I look over at Shawn's car to see him staring at me. He rolls his eyes and back out the driveway, leaving the parking lot with swiftness. I take another sip of my coffee and loop my finger around my ponytail. Jake adjusts himself in the seat next to me before starting the car.
"So why's he so pissed?" Jake asks as he backs up slowly.
"We got into an argument." I say plainly, staring out the window, keeping my cup close to my lips.
"Who new?" He laughs and I snort at his joke, "what about?" He asks, looking at me as he stops at the stop sign.
"You." I mumble and he laughs.
"What's the problem this time?" He scoffs and I sigh.
"He doesn't like that you kissed my head." I laugh and he practically howls.
"What the fuck? I've always kissed your head!" He says and I look at him.
"I know right! All the sudden he has a problem with you and me being so close! Plus, your with Caroline, nothing's ever going to happen between us!" I declare and he nods.
"Shawn's such a bitch." He laughs and I nod.
"I agree."

Walking into psychology for the first time in almost a week felt new. First period had gone by with ease, only two assignments needed to be done by Sunday, as it was Thursday. Panic rises into my chest when Daniel and my eyes meet. We are cool with each other, but I can't help but remember how we technically dated for like a day. My feelings for him have definitely changed, but, I still have a soft spot for him.
"Morning Miss Starr, I'm glad you've decided to show up." Mr. Clark says, handing me a thick Manilla envelope.
"Goodmorning sir, I'm sorry for not showing up, I've been in my headspace quite lately. Are these my missing assignments?" I ask, taking the folder in my hands. There's a sticker on its front reading, 'Brianna Starr'.
"Ha, no darling, these are due next month. Although," he hands me a few sheets of paper, "these are. I favor you as a student, so I gave you a little less work." He smiles and I give him a grin.
"I'll make sure not to tell the other student," I chuckle, stacking the papers ontop of the folder, "thank you Mr. Clark!" I cheer and he sends me off with a welcoming smile. I see Maria smirking at me as I walk up the stairs to my usual spot.
"Where you been pumpkin? I was getting bored." She pouts and I steal a glare at her.
"Mind your business, also, I'm glad to see a left a scar on your lip. Now you'll remember me forever." I wink at her and she threatens to stand up but Daniel sends her a glare.
"I swear to God, your such an obnoxious little cunt." She hisses as I slide past people to get to my seat.
"Wow, how touching." I pretend to be touched by her heartfelt words. She curses under her breath, talking to Isabella next to her.
Isabella.
That was the chick who was making out with Shawn at the party. I remember her. She was like, eating him.
I take a look around, noticing LeeAnn's things are gone.
Where is she?
"She's in Texas for the week, she'll be back." The guy next to her seat says. I look up at him and something tells me I've met him before.
"I know you." I say and he tilts his head.
"You do." His voice lingers on the do.
"I've met you at a party. Your name starts with a m." I try to think of his name.
Marty.. Mason...
"Mauricio." He chuckles and I click my tongue.
"Damn, I was this close." I hold my finger up as a pinch.
"Right, and your Brianna right? Your friends with Brooklyn." He describes me and I nod.
"Yeah, I don't really remember you that well. I think this is the first time I'm seeing you besides the party." I laugh and he shrugs.
"I keep quiet in school. Don't wanna get in trouble." He winks and I smile at him.
"So you and LeeAnn are?" I expect him to catch on and when he does he just laughs.
"Oh no, I have a girlfriend named Maddie," that name rings a bell, more like 40 bells, "her and LeeAnn are friends." He explains and I nod.
"Oh ok ok." I'm about to go on when Mr. Clark clears his throat. I feel eyes on me and look over at Maria who's glaring at me, phone in her hands. She smirks before looking down at it.
Is she texting Shawn... Who cares? We'Re NoT tOgEtHeR rIgHt.
I roll my eyes at my thoughts before focusing on Mr. Clark and his assistant, Daniel.
