"So, Maria said you never went back to your room. She stayed there for god knows how long." Brooklyn says and I groan.

"Did she really go to my fucking room?" I ask, squeezing the wheel.

"She didn't tell you?" Brooklyn asks.

"Yeah, but I told her not to." I sigh and she leans back in the chair. She seems down.

"Uh," I look at Brook, "have you talked to your parents?"

"No, I want to but I keep fucking talking my way out of it," she looks at me, "it's not that easy." I put my hand on her thigh.

"Don't worry about it, you'll know when the times right." I smile and she pats my hand.

"God, your so weird. Some days your an absolute asshole other times your just, how you used to be." I remove my hand and just stare straight towards the road.

"I'm just used to it." I lie and she rolls her eyes.

"Whatever. So where were you actually last night?"

Should I tell her?

"With Brianna." Her eyes practically pop out of her head.

"Oh my god." She sits up, "did you guys?"

"No. Jake called her to come over at like 3 in the fucking morning." I roll the window down slightly, as it's gotten hot in the car.

"Wait, why?" She chuckles and I bite my lip.

"Uh, well, me and my dad got in an argument. That's all you need to know." I say and she stares at me, expecting an answer.

"What did you guys do!?" She shoves me and I roll my eyes.

"Nothing. We did nothing. She stayed the night because I was drunk and she cleaned the house before I woke up. Then she left."

Why did I lie? Why am I lying? Why do I have the urge to lie? Oh, because it's embarrassing as fuck to have done anything with her.

"No way that's all that happened! And why the hell did she clean your house?" She interrogates.

"Oh my god! Enough fucking questions! Mind your fucking business." I yell and she flicks me off.

"You can be such a fucking jerk," Brooke says laying back in her seat, staring out the window again.

"You can be so fucking annoying." I spit back and she huffs.

We stay quiet until we get to Chubbie's. I open the door for her so she can find the seats first, instead, Maria's already there so we sit with her.

"Where the hell were you?" Maria asks, she looks pissed. I snarl at her. Brooklyn shrinks in her seat.

"None of your fucking business. I told you not to go to my room in the first place." I snap and she crosses her arms.

"So where'd you go? Your parent's house?" My eyes dart up to her.

"Dad." I correct her and she leans back on the booth.

"Whatever Shawn." She rolls her eyes and I just laugh at her.

"You," the waitress from last night says.

Oh fuck.

"You need to leave," Janet says and I tense.

"Um, who are you?" Maria snarls and I snap my head towards her.

"Listen you germ," she chomps on her gum, "after last night, you're no longer welcome at Chubbie's. If you don't leave now, I'll have to get my manager out here."

"What exactly are you talking about lady?" Maria asks, and I groan.

"I'm sorry, Janet, I'll leave." I rudely say and she stares me down.

"Hello! I asked you a question." Maria yells and heads turn to her.

"That boy there," she points to me, "he left a girl here, soaking wet from the rain. He ditched her as a joke." Maria smiles and Brooklyn looks pissed.

"Are you fucking kidding me, Shawn?!" Brooklyn yells, smacking her hand on the table. She stands up and moves out of the booth.

"You all need to leave. You're causing a disruption." Another waiter says. I flick Janet off and she walks towards me.

"Don't you ever think that you can come in here without me noticing you. Your absolute dirt in my book. So get the hell out, or you'll be forced too." She rebukes, poking my chest. I flare my nostrils before huffing and turning around to go back to my car.

"What the hell were you thinking!?" Brooklyn yells and I squeeze my eyes shut.

"I think it's actually pretty fucking funny," Maria says in the back of my car.

"Maria shut the fuck up." Brooklyn growls and Maria sits up.

"Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?" She threatens and I had enough.

"BOTH OF YOU NEED TO SHUT THE HELL UP!" I rebuke, punching the steering wheel. Brooklyn looks at me with pure disgust.

"Are you kidding me? You left her in the fucking rain. What the fuck is wrong with you?" She spits. Since we're at a stoplight she opens the door and gets out the car.

"Fuck you," Brooklyn says, slamming the door.

"They just fucking met, Brooklyn's never this protecti-"

"Maria, please," I beg and rub my temples before I blow the fuck up. I roll the window down.

"Brooke, get back in the car. We're only, like a block away from the school!" I yell and she stops.

"Exactly." She sneers before plugging in her headphones. The light turns green. I groan and head back to the school.

Motherfucker.

"I think it was pretty funny what you did." Maria laughs and I just clench my jaw, "what? Are you going soft for her too? You guys just fucking met." Maria sighs and I just stare at her like she's an idiot.

"Your so fucking stupid," I say, standing up from Brooke's bed.

She never came back here.

I wonder where she is.

"I'm not the one that ditched a prude at a fucking restaurant." She mutters and I turn around, "why were you with her in the first place?"

"Because that little deal we made earlier last week. Brooke said she was depressed and shit and you, you're just fucking you." I finish, sitting back down.

"So what? Did you guys like fuck or something?" She interjects and I huff.

"No Maria."

"So is that why you didn't go home? You were here?" She asks and I shake my head, not even wanting to answer her annoying ass mouth, "oh my god. Your so fucking- ugh!" Maria shouts and I just lay back onto Brooke's bed.

I hear keys jingling at the door.

Thank god, Brooke's here.

The door opens, revealing Brianna.

Oh shit.
