(A/n): {Let's continue!}
{~Akira's POV.~}
I sighed. (Y/n) was leading the way deeper into the forest and I was currently following (her/him).
"Hey, Kurusu-kun. I was wondering... I know this is rather sudden, but... Do you have a family? You seemed lonely when we first met." (Y/n) said. I looked down at the ground.
"No. They all died." I stated bluntly. (Y/n) looked down.
"So did mine... I'm sorry to bring up such a sad topic." (Y/n) said.
"It's okay. I'm used to it by now. Since I used to be upset over my parents and friend's deaths. I've learned to get over it, more or less." I said. (Y/n) looked over (her/his) shoulder at me.
"You got over it?" (Y/n) asked. I nodded.
"Yeah. It only took me two hundred years... I mean--that was a joke! Heh, heh..." I said, trying to cover up the fact that it was actually true. Yes. I'm two hundred and eighteen years old. (I know you're thinking of botw - stOP iT!)
Demons can live forever. They can only die from either eating no human flesh for a little bit over one hundred years, or getting decapitated. They can't die from a virus, or anything that a human can be affected by. (Y/n) looked at me suspiciously, before shrugging it off.
"Okay, bro." (Y/n) said while looking forward. I chuckled at that.
"(Y/n)... You're different from most people I've met. And I mean that in a good way." I said with a small smile. (She/he) chuckled.
"Well, you're not too bad yourself, Kurusu-kun." (Y/n) said with a smile.
"You wouldn't say that if you knew what I really am..." I thought as I looked down.
"I appreciate your kind words." I said as I looked up at (her/him). Something else a Demon is known for is their "Deadly Demon Charm". Which is just as it sounds. There are many tales made up by humans to warn their children about Demons manipulating mere mortals to their doom, or forcing them into a relationship. A.K.A.--a Pact.
Which can, believe it or not, allow the Demon to use that mortal however they wish, whether it be for pleasure alone, or the possibility that that Demon wishes to live a normal life--much like myself. But I had no need for something like that. It didn't interest me like it may have other Demons. Just because I could do it, didn't mean I was going to, or wanted to. I watched (Y/n) lead the way deeper into the forest. As much as I hated to admit it...humans truly were foolish.
I mean, take (Y/n) for instance. (She/he) trusted me of all people right off the bat! It was a little sad... Being too trusting can be fatal. (Y/n) was lucky that I'm not like other Demons...in more ways than one. By that I mean that first of all, I'm not feral like them. So, I don't go around killing every human I run into, or any humans at all for that matter.
Another reason which may be seen as off topic: My eyes glow a bright red, unlike every other Demon's, whose eyes glow a bright yellow. My eye color isn't just for looks either. It's my rank as a Demon. Mine is the highest a Demon can be ranked. So, because of my rank, a lot of Demons respect me. Well...they used to.
Your rank as a Demon is decided upon birth. I just happened to be a Meishu rank... I just got lucky, is all. I looked to the Southeast. I could sense more humans...
"Demon Slayers..." I thought. They were heading my way. I could tell that it was the same Demon Slayers that killed Ryuji. Their scents were too familiar not to be. I glared in that direction.
"If they show up and confront me in front of (Y/n)... (Y/n) will definitely know I'm a Demon. Well, shit. I've got no choice..." I thought as I looked around for somewhere to warp. I grabbed (Y/n's) hand, pulled (her/him) close to me, then I hugged (her/him) tightly, and then warped into a nearby tree. (Y/n) pulled away, and almost fell out of the tree.
"Wha--!?" I silenced (Y/n) by putting my hand over (her/his) mouth.
"Be quiet... We can't risk them finding us." I whispered to (her/him) sternly. (Y/n) nodded slowly. I focused on the two Demon Slayers. It was the same ones that killed Ryuji... I could tell by the scowls on their faces. One of them closed his eyes, then pointed at the tree I was in.
"There!" He shouted as the other one nodded, and ran towards the tree.
"Yeah, I don't think so..." I mumbled to myself as I looked at (Y/n) with a sigh, before warping farther away. (Y/n) looked dazed when we ended up in the area I warped to--which was far away from those Demon Slayers.
"Oh, sorry. I forgot that humans struggle to handle this kind of thing. I'll be more careful next time." I said. Once (Y/n) snapped out of it, (she/he) pushed me away, which caused us both to fall out of the tree. I sighed midair, before warping to the ground safely onto my feet. I made sure I warped over to the left a bit to catch (Y/n). I caught (Y/n) and set (her/him) down on (her/his) feet. (Y/n) backed away from me.
"What exactly ARE you!?" (Y/n) exclaimed. I sighed.
"I'm a Demon." I stated bluntly. (She/he) looked at me in fear.
"Are you going to kill me!?" (She/he) exclaimed.
"If I was, do you think I'd tell you that? You'd be easier to kill when your guard is down." I said. I saw (Y/n) glare at me. I chuckled.
"Relax. I would have killed you as soon as I saw you if that was my true intention. Just know that you're safe...for now." I said. (Y/n) seemed uneasy.
"I can understand your fear. I wouldn't trust me if I were you either. Now, you should leave. If those Demon Slayers saw you with me, it could cause them to mistake you for a Demon as well, and kill you. Also, before you leave... You promise you won't tell anyone about me, right? If you do, I'll know, and I'll erase your memories. If I feel like it...I just might erase something of far greater importance to you. Your life." I said with a stern look. (Y/n) nodded quickly.
"Understood!"
(A/n): {Wowee... I'm having a lotta fun with this one, kids!}
