A Demon's Silent Joy

{~Akira's POV.~}

I woke up to the sunlight shining through the window curtains. I lifted my hand up to block the light a little as I squinted. I sat up with a yawn and slowly got up. I walked towards the door and opened it. When I got to the hallway I saw (Y/n's) door was open. That peaked my curiosity, so I walked towards it. When I heard a conversation coming from inside (her/his) room. I recognized the two voices... It was (Y/n) and Sojiro.

They seemed to be talking about the D.S.A., (her/his) position as the Leader, and...me!? I stood beside the doorframe of (her/his) room and eavesdropped.

"Are you sure? I mean, he doesn't seem normal. Last night, when he was pissed, his eyes were glowing and bright red. Last time I checked, his eyes are just dark red they don't glow either!" Sojiro said. I heard (Y/n) sigh.

"Not only that, but one time when I saw him yawn, I saw his teeth. They looked sharper than a normal person's." Futaba added on. Wait. She was there too!? And she agreed!? Does that mean that (Y/n) is going to-

"I'll admit it... Since you two were kind enough to take him in, even as a complete stranger...it's only fair that you two are aware of what he is. You two are right. Since)) I can get what you were getting at... Yes. He IS a Demon." (Y/n) said. Sojiro and Futaba gasped.

"B-but only part one! From what I know... He's not even violent like a vast majority of them are, either. I hope you two didn't think I'd just let a feral Demon in here!" (Y/n) said. I quietly sighed to myself.

"I hope you didn't think you were being sneaky... I can tell you're there, Akira." (Y/n) said. I flinched at my name being said.

"How did (she/he) know I was here!?" I thought with a sigh before I walked over to the door and showed myself. Sojiro and Futaba looked over at me in shock and (Y/n) just smiled.

"How did you know I was here...?" I asked. (Y/n) chuckled.

"Well, let's just say, you're not the only one that can sense Demons." (Y/n) said. I chuckled.

"No wonder you knew it was me..." I mumbled. (Y/n) nodded before (her/his) look turned into a serious one.

"So, you eavesdropped on our whole conversation?" (Y/n) asked. I looked down and nodded.

"Yes... I'm sorry. I just got curious. Then when my name was mentioned... I had to listen." I said. (Y/n) chuckled.

"I'm glad you're honest. And you're definitely part human." (Y/n) said. I looked at (her/him) confused.

"How am I like a human exactly?" I asked. (Y/n) chuckled.

"You got curious and acted upon that curiosity." (Y/n) said. I chuckled.

"Well, I guess that's one way to look at it." I said. (Y/n) nodded.

"So...how's it going with the D.S.A. as the temporary Leader?" (Y/n) asked.

"I wish you were there instead of me. Since you're way better at it than I am, not to mention they actually respect you..." I said. (Y/n) chuckled.
