"Ruby!"
Liam's voice echoed in my head and I almost lost balance and fell off. I gripped the metal bar and turned to glare at him, swinging a leg over the bar.

"Shouldn't you be in class?" I asked, frustrated.

He didn't answer for a while, then in his 'I'm just trying to help' voice he said;
"Darlin', please just come down here." His voice was soothing, reassuring.

I almost climbed back down and into his arms but I wouldn't let myself. We started at each other for a few seconds before he spoke.

"Ruby... Just come down here, please." He tried, begging.

"Why?" I asked, now getting a little bit pissed. "So Justin and his friends can keep being assholes? So you can keep begging me to let you in? So I can keep living my pointless, worthless life?" I ranted. "I'll tell you what, you give me one person's name who would actually care, someone who would miss me and cry for me, someone who still wants me, then I'll come down"

He struggled for a moment before he sighed in defeat, his eyes pleading and hurt.
"Me, " he muttered.  "I care about you Ru, " he said, his voice was small. "Please, I still need you."

"Not good enough." I let go of the bar and I could feel myself tipping off the edge.

I heard a panicked shout as I closed my eyes and waited for peace. I could feel myself about to fall off the fence when somebody grabbed my wrist and yanked me onto the safety of the roof. Now I was full-on pissed. I jumped to my feet and faced Liam, who now stood right in front of me. I could see the unshed tears in his eyes as he stormed towards me and grabbed my upper arms in an iron grip. I opened my mouth to yell at him but he cut me off.

"WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" He shouted, making me flinch back. "DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I CARE ABOUT YOU!? GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON WHY YOU WOULD DO THAT!"

"I already gave you a bunch of reasons," I muttered, my body shaking with fear and anger.

I'd never seen Liam so angry, it was scary. I shrank back as he got up in my face and burned holes into my head.
"I still want you." His voice was low but passionate, you could also hear the raging anger in his voice.
It burned in his soft blue eyes. He rested his forehead against mine and pulled me to his chest, I could hear his fast-beating heart under his shirt. His anger melted away and he sighed in submission.

He tilted my head back to look him in the eyes. I could see the hurt, anger and fear in his light blue eyes. He stood there, the former Alpha of the state, looking at me straight in the eye and telling me that he still needed me. That he wanted me. I felt kind of relieved that someone on this earth still cared about me.

"So, what you're saying is that... That you actually care about me, this isn't some sick prank that Justin told you to do, you truly care about me." I confirmed.

"Yes."

"So if I broke down crying right now, you wouldn't leave me here?"

"No."

I smiled and buried my face in his chest, feeling the tears building behind my eyes. Soon, they spilled over my cheeks and I was sobbing into Liam's shirt. He rubbed circles on my back and kissed the top of my head, telling me that it was going to be okay.
The door suddenly burst open and Justin stared at us, his face a perfect portrait of shock.

"What happened to you?" He asked, his voice smug. "Did kitty try to kill herself again?" He fake pouted, then chuckled evilly.

Liam let out a dangerous laugh and stalked towards Justin. I looked away, wiping the tears away.

"I'd run if I were you." Liam's voice was dangerous and I looked back at him to see that he had Justin pushed up against the door.

"Now." He released him and Justin fled out the door.

I giggled at his fleeing back and stuffed my hands in the pockets of my jacket. Liam stalked back over to me and wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me to him.
"I'm so sorry I left like I did, " he muttered. "I didn't think your mum would bale like that, and I... I thought that you would forget me and move on... I didn't think that you would..." He trailed off.

"Even though you didn't want me to forget you, " I said.

He laughed. "Yeah."

His laugh warmed my heart and made me want to laugh as well. I hugged him tightly and sighed. The bell for the end of the day sounded.

"We just skipped school," I said.

"Yup." He hesitated before saying. "Do you want to come to my place and we could have an ex men movie marathon?"

I laughed. That was what we always did whenever we had a fight, chose a movie series and watched them all in one night.
"I would love that."

He grinned. I grabbed my books and walked back over to him and linked our hands together and he led me off the roof.
