"No, absolutely not," Liam said for the billionth time that afternoon.

He wasn't letting me out of his sight since our run-in with my long lost father.
I had asked to go to the park for a walk, he wasn't letting me out of the house either. It was like a lockdown, except it was only me. He had warriors surrounding my house and they took turns sleeping here.
Three would sleep in the spare room and two in the lounge to on the couch.

"This is ridiculous." I groaned, slumping onto the couch, "no one would dare touch me when you're around. Your growling and glaring makes everyone terrified, even the warriors."

He wouldn't let Ian in either so he and mum were staying at a hotel in Port Adelaide.
He barely even let the warriors near me, and I was sick of being deprived of physical contact. Well, touching people other than Liam.

"C'mon, Andy and Janco are sick of it too, right guys?" I looked over to the kitchen to where two warriors were making lunch.

Andy was around his mid-twenties and Janco was the same. They were particularly young for warriors but they were better than most of the older, more experienced warriors.

"Uhhh, " Janco stammered, "well, you see Luna, we can't agree with you unless we want the Alpha to kill us so... Nope, we're all good."

I groaned. "Stupid mate," I muttered.

"What was that, Darlin'?" Liam asked, arching a brow.

"Nothing," I said, then stormed up to my bedroom.

I slammed the door shut and peered out my window into the backyard, he wouldn't even let me go there. Into my own back yard.
I was grateful that he cared but now it was just getting annoying and stupid.

I heard a soft knock on my door.

"What?" I snapped.

"Can I come in, Luna?" I heard Andys voice say through the door.

"Are you going to lecture me on how Liam's only trying to keep me safe and protect me?" I asked.

"No, just wanted to bring you lunch. You haven't eaten much today." He said.

"Fine, " I grumbled.

He came in and put a bowl of salad on my desk in front of me. I shoved a piece of lettuce into my mouth and continued to stare wistfully out my window.
Andy didn't leave, just perched on my bed. We didn't talk, just sat in comfortable silence.
I had only eaten a few bits of my food when I decided that it was enough. It wasn't that I didn't like it, it was delicious, but if I couldn't get the proper exercise then I couldn't afford to eat too much. I didn't want to be any bigger than I already was.

I put the fork down and pulled out my sketchbook.
I did the outline of a wolf standing on a rock near a lake.
I didn't know how long I spent doing that drawing but it was long enough for me to finish it and get out my charcoal pieces and start shading.

"Luna, you should eat some more," Andy said from behind me.

I shook my head. "I'm not hungry." I lied.

"Yes, you are. You didn't eat much last night, or the night before, or the night before that. In fact, you've barely eaten half of what you usually do." He hesitated, "and... You're getting very skinny, and it's not healthy."

I clenched my jaw. "I don't see how that's any of your business," I growled, making him nodded stiffly.

After a few seconds of him hovering behind me, he left and closed my door. (You know it's fiction when someone closes your door behind them, am I right?)
I sighed in frustration and pushed away from my desk and sat near the window.
Suddenly, and an idea popped into my head, a bad idea, but an idea none the less.

I locked my door then went back to my window. I pulled it up and looked down. There were no warriors and they wouldn't be able to see me very well. It was foggy and dark outside. The perfect weather for sneaking out. I swung my legs out and let myself drop to the ground. My legs jolted, sending pain through my calves and thighs. Almost as soon as I hit the ground I ran, jumping over my fence, then hid behind a tree as a warrior patrol walked past.

I waited, then ran into the woods and shifted into my wolf. The wind blew in my fur, refreshing me.
Twigs snapped under my paws as trees blurred past me. The fog thickened as I got deeper and deeper I to the forest, so I slowed down and padded over to the lake.
I took small sips of water at a time, then laid down on my stomach and rested my head on my paws.
I watched as a few drops of dew fell into the motionless lake, causing small ripples to grow bigger and bigger.

"RUBY!” A voice boomed somewhere in the direction of the house.

No, I thought, I'm not ready to go back yet. I sprang to my feet and darted off into the forest.
I could feel a few drops of rain starting to hit my fur. I could hear a bunch of paws coming my way. Liam and a few warriors no doubt.

Suddenly, something tackled me from the side and we crashed to the ground and rolled.

The rusty coloured wolf landed on top of me and snarled. I kicked its stomach with my back legs and pounced on top of it.

We engaged in a fight with claws and teeth. The only sounds that filled my ears were the howls of pain and loud whimpers, either from me or the other wolf.
Without thinking, I clamped my jaws around its neck and tugged. It whimpered loudly before slumping to the ground. Its tail twitched a few times but it didn't get back up.
I back away from it, my ears folded against my skull.

I killed someone, I thought, horrified with myself, I killed another wolf, I took away its right to live.
My back blazed with pain from where it had raked its claws down, and my left ear had been torn a little.
I hid behind a thick tree trunk as more wolves came into view.

I was about fo run when I recognised Liam's wolf.
I ran up to it and pounced, tackling him to the ground. I snuggled into him, cowering away from the body. I could still taste his blood in my mouth, his blood was still in my fur, clumping it together.

Liam sniffed my back leg where four long gashes poured blood. His tongue licked my wound, cleaning it.
I connected to his mind.

I killed him

I know, but you're the one who went out in the first place. He said, clearly angry.

I'm sorry! I whimpered loudly as tears filled my eyes. I didn't mean to, I didn't think that they would come this close to the town.

All the warrior's heads snapped towards me and I hid my face by curling in on myself.
I never meant to kill anyone! I was just getting a drink and he pounced on me, I didn't know that it would kill him. I thought he would go unconscious.

I felt Liam's tongue flick over my ear, cleaning the blood dripping down.

I know babe, he said, nuzzling me, I'm sorry. But this is the reason I kept you in, to protect you from them, so you wouldn't have to do that.

I nodded.

Let's get you home.

I stood and walked back, using my mate for balance since my back leg wasn't really doing a great job of that.

Once we got to my backyard Liam ordered everyone to turn around so I could shift.
He didn't want them seeing me naked and I didn't want them seeing me either.

I went into the house, put clothes on, then passed out on the couch with Liam and the warriors by my side.

OKAY, MY LOVELY BEANZ!!
