Liam P.O.V

They had him. I heard the rogues outside talking about whether they should trade me for him or just kill me and let them kill Dylan. I didn't care what they did to me, but I just hoped to God that my pack killed Dylan and got my family the hell out if here.

"So, are you proud of your mate?" Dylan's beta, Tyrone, spat in my face, "I bet you're just beaming with joy that your little Luna has gotten our Alpha, right?"

I glared at him, "Yeah, sure."

His fist blurred and pain struck my lower cheekbone. I didn't dare show how much the blow hurt so instead I just grinned and spat at his feet. He snarled.

"You disgust me." He growled.

"The feelings mutual," I assured him.

He growled again but backed off, slamming the iron door shut behind him. I squeezed my eyes shut and let my head rest on my chest. Goddamit, I missed her so much, my little Ruby... I let a heavy sigh escape me as the hole in my chest widened.

Ruby P.O.V
"He's there," James said, hope shining in his eyes, "the scouts came back and he's in their underground jail."

I nodded, "Okay... Alright. I think we both know that we can't get him out on our own so do you think our allies would help us? The Fire-Rose Pack, maybe?"

James frowned, "I think that they'll want Liam back as much as we do, but we also have to consider the possibility of other packs. After all, that is their main base and there's going to be a lot of rogues there so we can't just stride in there and take him, we'll need around three packs, including us, "

I bit my lip as I tried to remember what other packs we're near us... There was Garret's pack but I doubt that they would want to help us get back our Alpha when we killed theirs...
I felt the pressure weighing down on my shoulders, pressing me into the earth.

"The Bright-Moon pack, their Beta is friends with Mary and Harry, they'll want to help get them back... And the StarLight pack too." I said, drumming my fingers against my arm.

"Okay, well, the Bright-Moon pack is pretty big so if they agree then with our pack and the StarLight pack we shouldn't need the third pack," James said, "and if the Fire-Rose pack still agree then we should have more than enough warriors to get him back."

I nodded absentmindedly, closing my eyes. I could picture him perfectly, the way his blond hair felt against my fingers, his blue eyes filled with joy... I sighed and reopened my eyes.

"I'm going for a run," I muttered to James.

"Is that the best idea?" He asked, concern creasing his brow.

I frowned at him, "My dads dead."

"Yes, but the rogues are not." He reasoned, "look at least let me come with you?"

I huffed, "fine."

We left the room and as soon as I was out of the Pack House I shifted and sprinted away, James at my heels.

I could hear his paws hitting the wet ground as I sprinted past the lake. My breathing turned ragged as I sprinted faster, and faster until James started growling.

What? I snapped at his through a mind link

We're getting close to the rogue borders, we should turn back, he said, already turning to leave.

I hadn't realized that we had gotten so close. I looked into the forest.

Soon, Liam... I'll be there soon...
