Ben sat at the edge of the hotel bed, staring at Rey. She was sound asleep, snoring slightly. She looked so peaceful. The hotel covers were draped down by her waist, exposing his giant grey hoodie she wore. Wisps of her hair were sprawled on her face, the rest falling down her shoulders to the pillow she was on.

Guilt tore at Ben as he looked at the marks he had given Rey. It was going well until that last mark, where he was too aggressive. And now Rey had a giant red mark with dried blood on her neck next to the purple bruises.

The hickeys were fine, as Rey seemed to like them, but he took it too far with piercing her skin. And it's not just the red mark he gave her. Where would he draw the line? What would happen if he didn't stop?

Ben shivered. He couldn't let that happen.

He had to distance himself from her. Not physically- well, yes physically- but also emotionally. Which was going to be hard because he thrived whenever he was with Rey.

Rey rolled, yawning, stirring Ben from his thoughts. Her eyes fluttered open, scanning around the hotel room before focusing on Ben.

"Good morning," she said sweetly, smiling at Ben.

Ben couldn't help but smile in return. He didn't understand why Rey was always so energetic, but he appreciated her good mood.

"Good morning, Rey," he replied, his lips curved upwards.

Rey took the covers off her and dangled her feet over the edge of the bed. She walked towards the bathroom.

"How'd you sleep?" Rey asked, looking at her reflection in the mirror as she brushed through her hair with her fingers. She kept her hair down, not having any hair ties to do her hair with.

Ben hesitated before replying, "Not so well. You?" He didn't get any sleep. He had laid wide awake, tired but unable to fall into the dark void. He had tossed and turned all night, his thoughts being bombarded with his anxiety for Rey.

Rey started to brush her teeth with the toothbrush and paste sample that was in the bathroom. "Could have been better."

She walked out of the bathroom and back towards Ben, her mouth foaming with paste as she ferociously moved the toothbrush back and forth in her mouth.

She leaned against the wall, facing Ben as she brushed her teeth. She stared at him, an unreadable expression on her face.

After a few minutes, she walked back towards the bathroom sink and spit out the toothpaste. She rinsed her mouth, swishing water between her cheeks.

Rey turned on the sink, splashing cold water on her face. She massaged the water with a hand towel, drying her skin.

Rey walked back towards Ben.

Ben stood up from his sitting position on his bed. He grabbed a plastic shopping bag that was on the floor and handed it to Rey, saying, "I went to the mall this morning and got you clothes." He glanced at her baggy black sweatpants and grey hoodie. "I thought you'd want to change if you're having a... professional meeting."
