The next day I got up and decided to ride my board. It was about 11:30 and it was a little chilly so, I put on some leggings, a sweater and put my hair in a bun.

I think skating is now my favorite thing to do. It makes me feel free and the feeling riding on the board is indescribable.

After about 15 minutes, I went back into the house. I ate a poptart and checked my phone. I got a text from Elena.

Elena: Hey what are you doing today?

Me: Most likely nothing, why?

Elena: Well I was wondering if you wanted to go to the festival of lights with me, Nash is going and maybe you can bring Steven if you want.

Me: Yea I'll go and I'll ask him and what time we meeting up?

Elena: Meet me at my house @4

Me: Okay sounds good see ya laterrr ♡♡

Elena: Later (((:

I checked the time and It was 2:30. I picked my clothes which was a floral dress with a long cardigan, straightened my hair and put on my mascara. I grabbed my board and phone and went to Steven's house.

Once I arrived I grabbed my board and knocked on the door. Steven's sister Jackie, who went to school with us, answered it. "Is steven here?" I asked shyly. "Yea let me call him, STEVENNN." she answered and called steven. I waited and Steven came and opened the door. He looked like he just rolled out of bed.

"Hey Vanessa." He said and smiled. I hugged him and asked, "Did you just wake up?" He laughed and said, " No, well maybe." I giggled and said, " Well I came here because I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the festival of lights with me, Elena, and Nash. " He gave me a shocked face and said, "Are you asking me on a date Vanessa." I laughed and said, "I guess I am." He smiled and answered, "Of course what time?"

"Um meet me at my house at 4:30." I replied. "Haha okay." he said. "Well Ima go so, get ready." I said. "Bye, see ya later. " he said and gave me a hug. "Bye ." I said and went back home.

It was now 4:30 and I waited outside for Steven. He came walking and had a red flannel on and nice pants on. "Oooo you look fancy." I said and hugged him. He giggled and said, "Well gotta look good for you." I blushed and laughed. "We should start walking." I said. He nodded and we walked towards Elena's house.

Once we arrived, we saw Nash and Elena waiting outside for us. "Hey guys." I said and gave them both hugs. "Are we walking their or...?" Steven asked. "My mom is dropping us off." "Oh okay." He said.

It was around 5 when we got there. There was stands and shops everywhere. The lights turn on at 8 so we walked around. Me and Steven saw a stand that had all sorts of stickers and pins. I bought a Adventure time sticker and he bought a dragon ball z sticker.

"Man I'm hungry, what do you guys wanna eat?" Steven asked. "CINNAMON ROLLS AND HOT CHOCOLATE!" I yelled as I walked over to a stand. We all got medium hot chocolates and a cinnamon bun.

Me and Elena were walking together and the guys were talking about some football game. We walked around and saw a cute clothes shop and went inside. The guys groaned and elena said, "oh be quiet were only going to take a few minutes. " We laughed and looked around. I got a red flannel and Elena got a black cardigan. We were out of the store in 15 minutes. "See we're already out." Elena said and laughed. "Haha finally I missed you." They kissed and held hands. Their relationship was so adorable.

"We should start heading over to the lights. " I said. They nodded and we made our way towards the light show.

There were crouds of people and I was getting clostraphobic. Steven noticed and held my hand. "I don't wanna loose you. " He said. I smiled and we walked towards where Elena and Nash were standing at.

"5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1..!" Everyone screamed. The lights turned on and the whole park was lit with beautiful lights. I took out my phone and took pictures. "Take a picture with me." I said. He nodded and posed for the picture. We made silly faces and steven kissed my cheek. I blushed and then put my phone away.

We stood there for a couple more minutes and then sat on a bench. "We're going to the candy store we'll be right back." Elena said. I smiled and gave her a wink, she rolled her eyes.

"Sooo..." Steven said nervously. I knew he was nervous because he was playing with his hands. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Nothing it's just.." he said. I stared at him and he pulled out a small box. He opened it and said, "Vanessa, you make me smile when I feel down, when I'm with you I get butterflies in my stomach, You're my best friend and you're always there for me, Will you give me the privilege of being my girlfriend?" I was speechless. I had tears of happiness. "Yes, yes I will." I said and hugged him tightly. I wiped the tears from eyes and he handed me the box. I grabbed it and pulled out a bracelet that had a two charms on it. "I put a skateboard which represents us, and a waterfall cause its my favorite place to go and you're my favorite person." He said. I smiled and put it on. It fit perfectly. I hugged him again but longer this time. "Thank you." I said.

"Hey guys we gotta go my mom is already here." Elena said. We nodded and got up and walked towards the car.

Once we arrived at Elena's house, we said our goodbyes and walked to my house. He grabbed my hand and I blushed of course. "You're so cute when you blush." Steven said. I blushed more and said, "You're cute in general. " He laughed and said, "Nah I'm like a 5 on a scale of one to ten and you're like 100." I laughed and said "Yea right."

It was nine when we arrived at our house. "Well I'll see you later." I said and kissed his cheek. "Bye my princess." Steven said and kissed my forehead and hugged me. "Bye." I said and smiled.

I went to bed last night with the biggest smile on my face.
