AVENGERS CONFERENCE MEETING: 2 PM.
Eva knew this was going on, and to anybody who knew her more than ten minutes, it was shocking that she didn't start a fight about it. A meeting about her without her? What was she, five? She should be involved in everything that had to do with her or Oliver Bastino.
But the lack of attack was part of the reason for the meeting - Eva wasn't getting better. It had been two days, and the only change was a rapid decline in her energy. She could barely stand up on her own (not that she admitted that freely).
Two days Eva spent couped up the Medical bay with Natasha and Dr. Banner laying and resting, and nothing was changing for the good.
Bruce, who had gotten slightly attached, said with a soft tone, "She's not getting better."
Looking up from the reports the man had handed him, Tony mentioned with annoyance, "I can see that." He wasn't happy about this either, but for separate reasons. Loki brought terror to New York. Eva could do the same, and they needed to be cautious with her.
"The only way to heal her is-" started Loki, who had been spending the last two days trying to convince his brother to just call for Heimdall and bring him and Eva home - without any additional approval.
Tony cut him off, "Yeah, yeah. Heard that before, buddy. Isn't an option."
Loki continued, "Eva belongs in Asgard."
"Maybe," Tony agreed, playing along for just a minute. Loki seemed to un-tense slightly a this, glad that the idea wasn't so far fetched anymore. He went on, "Maybe she belonged in Asgard, like eight years ago," he admitted, then shaking his head as he told him, "But this girl clearly doesn't belong there anymore. Do you want to tell me a kid can't recognize her own father? Who she knew for the majority of her life?"
Loki insisted, "You know nothing of magic, of it's the ability-"
Natasha interrupted with a blanket statement that everyone but her and Bruce seemed to detest. "Eva makes the decision," she reminded them, looking around the room. "To leave or not is up to her."
Steve, who had been quiet for the majority of this conversation, piped in for a moment, "Doesn't she have another parent? One in Queens or something?"
Thor butted in, stated firmly, "That is not her mother. She is a guardian, yes but -"
Clint argued, "She raised Eva-"
"Ask her then," Loki retorted, his tone sharp, "If you're certain of her attachment, ask Eva what she thinks of Anna."
Anna having been Eva's "mother" as found out by government documentation. According to Loki, Anna had was barely related to Eva, and most certainly not her mother.
