IT WAS THE DAY OF THE FESTIVAL, AND PREPARATIONS WERE UNRAVELING AS PLANNED.
Asgard had not seen a party of more importance in what felt like ages, as told by Frigga. And apparently, the singular goal was to not disappoint.
Eva had awoken just after dawn, her body finally adjusting to Asgardian time, and the preparations were in full swings; servants were rushing in and out with ribbons and tables and plates and Eva stood in the midst of the chaos, stupefied.
That's when Frigga found her.
"Eva, my dear," she called, and Eva broke off her stare with the busy work to focus on her grandmother. "I trust you've slept well?"
Her tone had a little too much trust. Eva hadn't been sleeping well for most of the time in Asgard, and especially not the day before this - whatever she could define like this.
But Eva nodded, offering her grandmother a smile.
"Good," Frigga praised, not letting out any notice if she knew Eva was lying. "Would you mind checking in with the healers? I would go with you, but I..."
Frigga gestured to the people bustling around the room.
"Sure," Eva nodded, her mind trying to map out the castle so she could find her way there again. "Have you seen Loki anywhere?"
Yes, Eva Lokison had just asked to see Loki out of her own free will.
She was going to see him about magic, but development is development regardless of the causes for it.
Frigga held back a smile - she had noticed that Eva and Loki were becoming more attached in the last few days, and she cherished the similarities between then and now.
"I have not," she admitted. "But I'm sure you'll see him around the grounds."
Eva nodded, thanked her grandmother, and headed towards the healers' quarters, knowing that if she didn't, she'd get an earful from both Frigga and Loki.

"YOU ARE HEALING WELL, PRINCESS," Eir reported happily, her voice steady but her tone slightly pursed.
Raising an eyebrow, Eva tried to recall a moment she had heard Eir so... emotionally heightened; she couldn't think of one.
It must be the festival, she decided.
"And your memories?" Eir questioned, making the soul forge disappear as her attention fully shifted to Eva.
"I've tried once with magic," Eva reported. "But it left me tired. So Frigga requested I wait a little longer to try again."
Eir nodded curtly. "And with stimulus?"
Eva cocked her head.
"Do they still come naturally?" she rephrased, helping Eva to a sitting position.
