THE KITCHENS WERE BUSTLING WITH ACTIVITY, BUT EVA SAT CALMLY ON THE ISLAND WHERE LADY BODIL STOOD, PREPARING DINNER.
Eva leaned over and grabbed a carrot.
Lady Bodil slapped at her hand away, and Eva smirked as she grabbed another, narrowly missing the attack.
Dagny glanced up from her meal preparation and smirked along with her.
"You ought to have something better to do than this, Princess," Lady Bodil scolded, but Eva just shrugged.
"Haven't you heard?" she said, grabbing another slice of vegetable. "I'm on Royal Lockdown."
Dagny rolled her eyes. "You say that as if you don't live in a palace, Eva."
Eva rolled her eyes. "A golden cell."
Dagny sent her a look, but then handed her a piece of fruit.
Eva smiled and accepted it, but Lady Bodil sent Dagny a look of agitation.
"What?" she said, innocently. "We serve the princess, do we not?"
Lady Bodil did not look amused, but Eva and Dagny shared a look and a small laugh.
"Are you getting annoyed with me, Lady Bodil?" Eva questioned, frowning at the older woman. "I thought you liked me."
"Oh I love you, dear," Lady Bodil said. "But if you eat the dinner before it's served, Frigga will have my head."
"We wouldn't want that," Dagny muttered, and Eva grinned over at her, tossing a towel from the counter at her head.
She ducked, and the two earned some more scolding from lady Bodil; distracted by the antics, the women hadn't realized the entrance of a boy.
"Ms.Bodil?" a familiar voice called, and just as she placed a berry in her mouth, Eva turned to look towards the door.
She nearly choked when she saw Erik Bjornson at the door, a basket in his hand, and his perfect curly blonde hair practically glowing in the warm sun.
Evidently, Eva turned back to Dagny her eyes growing wide.
Due to Odin and Frigga's joint decision that she was to stay on castle grounds for protection, Eva made a promise to Loki that she would no longer sneak out to the villages.
(She was receiving magic lessons in return, thank you very much.)
She hadn't seen Erik since she had the incident during the attack in which she turned a very vivid shade of blue - and the red eyes, she reminded herself. Can't forget about her demonic looking red eyes.
But there he was in his stupid cute looking Asgardian clothing.
"Hello, Lady Dagny," he greeted with a nod, and Dagny glanced away from her friend to return the favor. After a moment, he added, "Hello, Princess Eva."
