AFTER HER FIRST BUNCH OF MEMORIES RESURFACED, EVA HAD BEEN RESTRICTED FROM FURTHER ATTEMPTING TO REACH MORE.
Frigga said that it could take a physical toll, Eva silently called BS, but it wasn't like she had any option; she had to siphon from a person, and Loki had some unmoving loyalty to Frigga that she didn't plan on testing.
Since the initial memory resurfaced, Eva had been particularly amicable to him; maybe it was young Eva Lokidittor shining through, but Eva felt attached to him and didn't mind spending her time with him in the library or in the garden.
It had only been two days, but Eva was understanding Asgard, through books and Loki, a little better. She was enjoying it, even.
That was until Frigga made an announcement to Eva that she did not enjoy very much.
Eva, like a hound dog, had tracked Loki down in between the meadows and flower gardens and began to call his name as she raced down the path.

"I will fight her on this," Eva corrected him, feeling the need to prove she hadn't changed that much. "I plan to put you at the front lines."
"I am retired from battles at the moment," Loki replied, and Eva let out an aggravated sigh, her hands pressing against the side of her dress. Loki noticed her reservation, and after a roll of her eyes, said, "you used to enjoy festivals."
"You're lying," Eva shot back, her face hardening. She had never been one for parties - not as far back as she could remember.
"You doubt me?" Loki questioned, and Eva's jaw set and she nodded in confirmation. "Fine then," he said, and Eva truly thought for a moment he was upset with her - tables! turning! - but instead of yelling, Loki paused in his step and turned to her. "See for yourself."
Eva, unsure of what he was planning, stepped forward cautiously, situated directly across him.
Loki extended his hand, and Eva eyed it carefully, before looking back up to him, and then with pursed lips, placed her hand in his.
