EVA LOKISON WAS DEAD.

The girl who let the world run its tracks and misfortunes all over her life was no more. That little brunette with the sad expression and the defensive sarcasm was never coming back.

But Eva Lokisdittor, daughter of Frost Giant Loki Laufeyson and leader for the Valkyrie, Sigyn, was well alive.

She was thriving, even.

Because this Eva was better. This Eva was powerful - and she knew it.

She held a sword to a god and forced another to let her go. They feared her - they wouldn't let her do what she did if they didn't fear her.

And she liked that. She liked that fear of her a lot.

The first thing that Eva Lokisdittor noticed when she landed back in NYC was that nothing really changed.

But it was earth, and nothing every changes - people die, problems arise, people are born, problems get pushed under the rug until eventually the cycle repeats and nothing is ever solved.

And Eva used to just deal with that. Eva Lokison didn't have a choice but to keep taking what the world kept giving her. She piled high with injustices and embarrassments and losses.

Eva Lokison used to bend at the will of the world.

Now, it would bend to Eva Lokisdittor.
