Fresh start

Chapter 16

Betty's PoV

After we had all eaten, we had went to my room and ten minutes later the boys decided to go, 'I'm going to do it' Veronica whispered and walked outside with Archie, I looked at jughead and smile, 'I'll wait outside' Kevin smirked and left the room closing the door quietly.

I turnt my head back to jughead and he instantly connected our lips, holding onto my waist whilst I reached up and hung my arms round his neck. We continued to kiss for a while and eventually pulled away resting our forehead together, 'I'll see you soon' he smiled and let go of my waist, we walked downstairs where he said bye to my mum and we walked out to the front yard where the others were.

'We'll see you all tomorrow' I yelled as the boys went there separate ways, me and V walked back in and up the stairs, she closed the door and turnt to me with a huge grin, 'he said yes' she said, 'oh my god Ronnie. He said yes' I yelled and we both jumped around holding each other till we fell on the bed.

'When and Where? I need to help you get ready' I smiled as we both turnt to our sides facing each other, 'Thursday and at an Italian restaurant' she gleamed, 'I'm going to make you look so fucking hot he'll melt' I giggle and she laughs. 'What colour you thinking?' She asks, 'definitely red, it's sexy, maybe a flowing ,kinda short ,'v' neck ,spaghetti strap, red dress' I said and she nodded, 'oh my god, yes that would be amazing.'

We had an amazing night, it was definitely better then the one when I was drunk. We played board games, gave each other makeovers, gossiped, talked about boys and tried on loads of my dresses. Around ten o'clock we changed into pyjamas and turnt on clueless before laying down and falling asleep before it ended.

The next morning

We woke up by the alarm ringing in our ear, 'is it morning already' Veronica murmured into the pillow, 'I was enjoying my sleep' I whined and turnt it off. We got up and I gave Veronica one of my checkered skirts and a black long sleeve top which she changed into in the bathroom and put on her iconic pearls her dad had brought her. I changed into some jeans and a pink cropped hoodie and chucked my hair up into a ponytail, we brushed our teeth and headed downstairs where we had a quick breakfast and left for school.

The day was pretty normal except a Jughead wasn't in he blue and gold and didn't show up for lunch, to think of it I hadn't seen him all day.

When I got home I got changed into my sports wear and waited for my mum to tell me zac was here, I text Jug a simple message, -you okay? You weren't in today-. I waited for a response or even the three dots that lit up the screen that cause people to eagerly know what the person on the other end was writing, but there was nothing. Maybe he's busy, I shrugged it off and put my phone on the side before heading downstairs.

After the gym I came back home and said hi to my mum before I went to my room, I had a bath and changed into my pyjamas before grabbing my phone hoping for a response from Jughead. But yet again there was nothing.

The next day was also like all the others except jughead wasn't there, -Jug, where are you?- I sent, thinking maybe he didn't get my text yesterday. But then even an hour later, no response.

After school i went to Veronica's with her to help get her ready for her date, i found a perfect red dress for her, it fitted her body perfectly, we straightened her hair and i found some matching red heels that went with her dress whilst she applied her scarlet red lip sticks.

'You look amazing, V. He's going to be breathless' i squeal as she does a small twirl, the door bell rang as if on cue and we headed downstairs. I opened the door, 'Hi Archie, Veronica will be out in a minute' i said and he nodded. i walked back in and said bye to Veronica whilst she looked for her phone then left.

Friday

Today was the day of the party and I still hadn't been in contact with Jughead. I got dressed into a white top, a blue skirt and converses.

It was midday and Jughead still hadn't shown up so I decided to go ask Toni. 'I'll see you guys at the party, I'm going to find Toni' I smiled before leaving the table and walking over to the serpents, 'hey Topaz' I said as I approached, she turnt around and smiled at me, 'ready for tonight Betty?' She asked and I nodded. ' I can't wait for our sleepover, it's going to be amazing,' I squealed and she giggled, 'have you seen Jug, I haven't spoken to him in two days and he won't answer my texts and I'm getting worried' I asked and she shrugged. 'It's best if you just let him take his time and come to you when he's like this, he's fine I promise. He's probably just got issues with his dad or the serpents, and if he doesn't pick you up later text me and I'll come get you' she smiled and I hugged her, 'Okay thanks, I'll see you later' I waved and walked to my locker as the bell went off.

Later at Betty's

I was sitting at my desk curling my hair when my mum walked in, 'hi sweetie' she smiled and stood behind me looking at me through the mirror reflection. 'Hi' I simply replied, 'I'm so happy you've made so many friends that don't just hang around you because your famous, I'm excited for you to go to a party too, just don't tell dad I let you when he gets back' she said and I nodded. She went to leave but stopped at the door, 'and also, no smoking, no drinking and don't have sex with some boy because you don't know if they're just playing with you' she said and I laughed and nodded 'Okay mum.'

I got changed into a black short dress that had spaghetti straps, it was tight around the chest area but it flowed from my hips downwards, I also put a black leather jacket over the top and slid on my black heels. Jughead better be getting his ass over here to pick me up because I wore this for him. I applied my natural look before sitting on my bed, and quickly texted Jughead my address and added -if you still want to pick me up- at the end.

I waited for about ten minutes till I heard an engine outside, I looked out my window and saw jughead sat on his motor bike directly outside my house. I ran down the stairs and yelled bye to my mum.

'Juggie, I've been trying to get hold of you for three days straight' I said walking up to him, he turnt his head so he was now facing me. I watched his jaw drop and I done a little spin, 'You look amazing Betty, you definitely look hotter then me in black and leather' he grinned st me and I couldn't help but smile. I sat on the back of his motorbike, wrapped my arms around his torso and placed my head in his back, 'we're going to talk about why you've ignored me for a few days later' I said and he drove off.
