Betty and Toni took a seat In the booth that they'd always sit In. "What can I get you girls this morning?" Pop Tate asked with a smile as he approached. "The pancakes and syrup, please." Toni replied, "can I have avocado on toast, please, I've got a photo shoot next weekend and I don't want to eat anything too unhealthy." Betty smiled and Pop Tate nodded before walking of to the kitchen.

"Where's your photo shoot?" Toni asked leaning on her hands, "in New York, I've got a lot to do that weekend, but V is coming to keep me company," Betty smiled, "I just had a great idea! Next time I go you should come." She added clapping her hands together. "Please tell me your not joking. I've always wanted to go New York. Your the best!" Toni squealed.
"I had so much fun last night Toni, well not the whole Jughead thing, but everything else was so amazing, thank you for inviting me round." Betty smiled, "Your welcome anytime." She said and Betty nodded. The girl continued with small talk and not long after their breakfasts arrived and they both dug in instantly.

"Where has pops been all my life." Betty hummed biting her toast, "right here waiting for ya." Toni smiled and Betty let out a soft chuckle. After the girls finished their meals Betty insisted she'd pay since Toni was kind enough to invite her over for a sleepover.

"Where do you want to go now?" Toni asked after they left and approached her motorbike. "We should go to a spa, I'll pay for us to get manicures and pedicures." Betty replied with a soft smile and she sat behind Toni on the bike. "You really don't have to pay for me." Toni chuckled as she started the engine, "Its fine, I want to." Betty said and Toni nodded before driving of to the mall.

Toni and Betty made there way in, a few people whispered, some took pictures, and a little amount of people asked for pictures, as they headed to the other side of the mall, where the spa was located. "Are your fans always like that when you go out?" Toni asked as they entered the small hidden away spa. "Some. It's usually worse in bigger and more populated places." Betty replied.

Betty asked the woman at the till how long it'd take and she replied with five minutes, so the two girls took a seat at the blackish brown leather couch.  Toni grabbed her phone and quickly took a selfie of her and Betty, "send that to me." Betty smiled. After she received the picture she went onto her Instagram and posted it instantly.

After Betty posted the picture, they had their manicures and pedicures done. Toni dropped Betty back at her house after and said she'd give Betty her dress at school.

"How was your party?" Alice asked as Betty sat down on the sofa next to her, "it was pretty awesome, I had so much fun. We danced and had a little drink." Betty smiled taking a sip from her glass of water. "Did you meet any boys." Alice smirked with a chuckle, "moooooomm," Betty playfully whined, "I'm just trying to make good friends I can trust. Boys are confusing." She added. "I was just trying to treat you like a normal teenager." Her mum laughed getting up from the sofa, she made her way to the kitchen with Betty following behind her.
"So have you spoke to dad yet?" Betty asked sitting on the stool and watched as her mom poured herself a glass of white wine. "I spoke to him earlier and he said he won't be back for another two weeks, he has really important business meetings." Alice replied before sipping on her drink. "But that means he's not coming to New York," Betty frowned "What are these meetings about, where does he even work?" She asked crossing her arms and leaning forward. Her mother took a while to answer, she shuffled around a bit and took a few more swigs from her glass before placing it down on the table. "I'm not particularly sure, it's just a very well paying job that gets us in a house like this." Alice said shifting her shoulders forward, leaning on the kitchen island. "I could totally afford this house if I was allowed to spend that sort of money from my bank but I can't till I'm eighteen," Betty sighed but added, "As soon as I'm eighteen and I'm in control of my own bank, I'm buying you that necklace you always wanted." Betty smiled. When she was younger and began her career, Betty promised to buy her mom a heart shaped necklace, to symbolise how grateful Betty was to be raised by her mom. "I've told you sweetie, you don't have to buy me it, having you as my daughter is a much bigger gift to me. I couldn't be a more prouder mother." Alice said bringing her glass of wine back up to her lips. "But I wouldn't be where I am right now without you." Betty replied slightly annoyed that her mom won't accept her kind gesture. Alice let out a quiet laugh before realising that she had finished her glass of wine already, so she grabbed the bottle and poured herself another glass. "I'm going to go to my room. I probably won't come back down ,so night." Betty smiled waving at her mom and going up the stairs and down the pale yellow hallway that led to her pretty pink room.

Betty ran herself a hot bubble bath whilst she hung up her neatly folded clean clothes that her mum had piled on her bed. After she stopped the taps running she pulled all of the clothes of she borrowed from Toni and piled it in the corner of her bathroom. Betty sat down in the bathtub, leaning back against the side grabbing her phone and checking if she had any new texts and calls.

Betty's POV

I hardly ever had messages and missed calls when I checked at night in the bathtub, but today I had a few. I hadn't checked my phone all day, the only thing I did was post the picture of me and Toni and since then I haven't looked at my phone.

I had a text from my mum that was sent around thirty seconds ago saying that my dinners in the microwave from when I'm done bathing. Another was from one of my friends back in New York, her name was Hannah and we met two years ago, she was my best friend. Hannah hadn't text me at all since I've left. I was expecting a sweet text like can't wait to see you again or I really miss you but instead it just said, I need my green dress when you come back. Betty rolled her eyes at the fact that her supposedly best friend didn't even bother to put at least a Hi at the start. I had two other from Jughead that had been sent at different times of the day.

Jughead:
Did I do something, you seemed uncomfortable or something this morning.

Jughead:
Are you okay? Are you mad at me?

Betty sighed before deciding not to reply and scroll through Instagram instead. After a few minutes she placed her phone down and cleaned her hair before getting out the bath and changing into her fluffy blue pyjamas and drying her hair. Betty put on a face mask and made her way downstairs to eat her dinner.

After she had removed the mask, Betty brushed her teeth and went to sleep.
