Why Won't You Love Me?: Sequel to Dazed & Confused

'This, is the start of something beautiful, this is the start of something new. You are the one who'd make me lose it all, you are the start of something new.'

'I'm outside your uni' Luke said over the phone, earning a small grin from me as I shut down my laptop and carefully placed it in my bag, walking out of the library and down the stairs as fast as I could.

'Where are you?' I asked as I walked through the empty cafe that was adjoined to our library, walking out into the main courtyard, instantly hit by Sydney's freezing August air, cursing myself for not wearing a scarf or a warmer jumper.

'I am at the main entrance,' he said and I just smiled to myself again, as although it was not out of character to pick me up from university, it was always a surprise when he did not tell me about it.

'Alright, I am almost there, I will see you soon,' I said before hanging up the phone and quickly walking to the main entrance, which was fairly close to where I had been working on assignments.

'Hey pretty girl!' he exclaimed when he saw me, pulling me into a tight hug, which instantly warmed my freezing body. He was in grey sweats and a black jumper with the hood pulled up, making him look extremely soft and making my heart extremely warm and full.

'Hey babe, how are you?' I asked before placing a kiss on his lips, which he readily reciprocated before he took my hand and we started walking to his car.

'I am good, how are you?' Luke asked and then I was off on a tangent about my day and how I was swamped in assessments and I could not wait for my final year to be over, as much as I loved studying, I was ready to start working in the real world.

'Sorry,' I laughed as we climbed into his old ute, which he had still not gotten rid of. 'That was a lot of information all at once.'

'Don't be sorry, I love hearing about your day,' Luke said, smiling at me as he started his car and began driving.

'How was your day though?' I asked and then Luke began talking about his day and how relaxing it was. The boys are taking a small break from touring and recording for the rest of the year, as they have been pretty non-stop since they first formed all those years ago, so they truly do deserve a break, even if it is a short one.

It took me a while to realise that we were not going in the direction that we usually took on the way home, however it was a similar route, as we were in a neighbourhood that was only a few blocks away from my own.

'What are we doing?' I asked after a moment of silence, my mind trying to figure out where we actually were and what we were doing.

'Come with me,' Luke said and I just raised an eyebrow at him but I willingly opened the car door and followed him to the front door of the house that he had parked in front of.  It was a modern-looking sandstone house, with a hedge surrounding the front garden which was filled with roses and a small but slightly extravagant fountain in the middle of the right side of the rose garden.

'What are we doing here?' I asked, still oblivious to what Luke was doing. That however changed, when he pulled out a set of keys from his pockets that I had never seen before and put them in the keyhole on the front door, which is when it finally clicked. 'You bought a house?'

'Took you long enough to figure it out,' Luke laughed as we walked inside, greeted by an empty house, the smell of lavender, left by the previous residents still lingering throughout the entranceway. 'Thought it was time for me to move out, I am twenty-two after all.'

'This is true,' I said softly as I explored the front rooms of the house, which is quite modern, considering the old feel of the house from the outside. Every room was quite large, with the exception of the downstairs office and bathroom, even the laundry seemed rather large.

'Do you want to see upstairs before you go outside and have a look around?' Luke asked and I nodded as he offered me his hand and I took it, our fingers intertwining as he led me up the stairs, taking me straight into what I assumed was the master bedroom because it was fully furnished.

'Is this your bedroom?' I asked, taking a look around. It was quite different from Luke's usual taste of blue and modern detailings, taking a more white, French bedroom feel, which is something that I would have gone for. 

'Yeah, do you like it?' he asked and I spun around, nodding and smiling at him.

'It is very beautiful,' I said, taking a look at the Queen-sized bed when I noticed the two sets of pyjamas on the bed, my heart-stopping, as I definitely knew were this was going now. The bedroom was exactly how I had described my dream bedroom to Luke on the phone about four months ago.

'Those are for you,' he said nervously. 'Please read the note first.'

I simply nodded at his words, picking up the handwritten note from atop the soft pink pyjamas, my hands nervously shaking, even though I already knew what he was going to ask, and I knew what my answer was going to be.

Sienna,

I know technically we have only been back together for just under a year but I feel most at home when I am with you, so it only makes sense that my new home has you in it with me too. You don't have to say yes, but I would love it if you moved in with me. I love you regardless of your decision baby girl, but life is always better when you are around, and you being here would make my life permanently better 24/7.

'Yes,' I said biting down on my bottom lip, trying to suppress the enormous grin that was appearing on my face.

'Wait, actually?' Luke asked, his eyes large and surprised which made me giggle lightly as I nodded and walked over to him and I was suddenly being picked up, my legs instantly wrapped around Luke's muscular torso as he hugged me tightly and whispered that he loved me in between multiple kisses. 

'What do you say we christen the new bed?' I suggested with a slight smirk on my lips and that is all it took for Luke to gently place me on our new bed and pin me down, attacking me with an insane amount of kisses, creating butterflies in my stomach.

'I love you,' I said in between a kiss, his cheeks blushing red from my words. 'So, so much.'

'I love you more Sienna, always and forever,' he said, placing a sweet kiss on my jaw, lingering there, which sent my body into overdrive.

'Come on, get on with it,' I whispered in Luke's ear, which earned a chuckle from the handsome man above me.

'Your wish is my command princess.'
