March 2019

"You didn't know?", Hoseok's eyes widen as he realizes his mistake, swearing internally at himself.

"There's no way", Moonhae shakes her head in an alarmed state, "They said it was an attacker. Just a crazy attacker..."

"Yes, but that attacker was Jaewon", he bites his bottom lip.

"B-but even Taehyung said...", her expression turns pained, "Taehyung wouldn't lie to me."

"I swear I thought he told you. There just must've been some kind of misunderstanding", he tries to calm her, "I mean he even went on the witness stand to get him convicted."

"He did what?", her voice breaks halfway through and Hoseok realizes he's put his foot in his mouth once again.

"Oh shit. I mean he...", he attempts to think of something to cover for his friend, but nothing comes to mind.

The girl pulls her phone out of her pocket and rapidly starts typing something in on google, her breath quickened with desperation.

"Moonhae, I don't think you should-", he reaches for her arm, but she steps away.

"Oh my god", she whispers in shock as she gazes down at her phone's screen.

Hoseok glances over her shoulder to find her watching the newscaster's video on what happened that day. The live footage is shown of them exiting the airport before the hooded figure runs up and snaps the girl's neck from behind. Taehyung shoves the attacker away with full force, then quickly tends to her on the ground.

"Oh my god", she chokes out again, her knees going weak. With a trembling hand she lowers herself onto a nearby couch as she feels she can't stand anymore.

"You shouldn't watch that stuff", he follows her and lightly places a comforting hand on her shoulder, "It's horrible and I'm sorry."

"Jaewon almost killed me", she breathes out shakily, disregarding Hoseok's presence.

"I thought you-", he sighs.

"And Taehyung kept that from me", her voice suddenly becomes more solid and her eyes grow darker.

"Maybe to protect you?", he looks hopeful.

"I... I need to talk to him", she jumps up abruptly, her expression wild.

"Well, yes, but maybe you should calm yourself a little first? Just a little bit?", he squeaks unsurely, knowing he's caused a huge problem now.

"No, I have to go now", she shakes her head adamantly whilst rushing out of the room before Hoseok can hold her back.

The guilty boy flailing his arms as he runs after her, desperately trying to get her to reconsider, she pays no attention to. Her goal is set on the studio down the hall and there's nothing that's going to stop her from getting there. Slamming the room's door open harshly, six heads stare back at her in surprise.

"Moonhae... What's going on?", Taehyung looks concerned at her agitated form.

Hoseok then stumbles in after her, quickly standing in front of the other boys protectively.

"Please don't", his eyes beg of her, but she already has other things on her mind.

"Taehyung", her tone is sharp and makes the boy jump, "Who fractured my neck?"

His eyes widen a little and his lips part as he looks frightened at her before glancing over at Hoseok with narrowed eyes.

"Hobi, did you-", he starts.
