Epilogue: Ever After

Sometime in 2033

"C'mon, we're already late", Moonhae calls out to Taehyung, who runs to grab something from the house.

"I'm here, I'm here", he pants as he drops into the driver's seat, handing her the extra paper plates.

"Ah, good thinking", she gives him props, "Did you buckle up the kids?"

"Yup", he pops, turning the motor on and staring into the rearview mirror, "Are y'all buckled up back there?"

"Yes!", a chorus of ten-year-old Haneul, eight-year-old Hyunjin and five-year-old Hyemi sounds out from the back.

"Are you excited to go to Uncle Jin and Aunt Hyunae's house?", he asks his children cheerfully while he drives.

"Yeah, I like their pool!", Hyunjin seems happy as he sits between his brother and sister.

"Are you excited to see Aera again?", Moonhae asks her eldest son with a smirk from the front seat.

"I guess...", Haneul only answers, but the flush in his youthful cheeks says otherwise.

"Haneul likes Aera! Haneul likes Aera!", Hyemi chimes teasingly with a giggle.

"I do not!", Haneul shoots back at his sister, "You don't know anything, Hyemi..."

In return Hyemi merely sticks out her tongue at him.

"Okay, no arguing", Taehyung warns them, "We're going to be on good behavior today, alright?"

"Okay, Appa", they say in defeated unison.

Moonhae watches her husband parent the kids with a fond smirk. He's always such a great father and it never fails to make her happy. Leaning over the center console, she gives him a quick peck on the cheek.

"Ewww!", the kids break out into dramatics at their kiss, making both parents laugh.

"You can't kiss Appa while he's driving!", Hyemi tells her mother off as the strict little five-year-old she is.

"You're right, Hyemi", Moon chuckles in response, "But I just love your Appa too much."

When they finally arrive at Jin and Hyunae's lovely home in the suburbs or mansion as it seems, they're greeted by their two kids. Ten-year-old Aera and seven-year-old Jinhae come to the car with big smiles, happy to see their close friends again. While Hyunjin and Jinhae immediately run off into the backyard to play, Haneul and Aera start talking somewhat shyly before heading off to play. Hyemi follows the older kids in hopes to join in on the fun.

Taehyung and Moonhae grab the few dishes they brought and head into the yard. These garden parties happen just about every month, hosted by a different one of the Bangtan member's families each time. Everyone joins in on bringing different dishes of food, so they always have enough to eat for them and the thirteen children they now have between them.

As they enter through the gate, they already find Jin and Yoongi standing at the grill, focusing on the food more than anything else. Hyunae and Myeong stand off to the side, seemingly in a deep conversation about something. Both Hoseok and Youna try to wipe some ketchup off of their two-year-old daughter's mouth, while their six-year-old son runs off to play with the other boys. Jimin sits at the table with his heavily pregnant wife, Aya, as they lovingly watch their three-year-old daughter fool around with her toys in front of them. Namjoon, also sitting at the table, holds his baby son on his lap, while Grace encourages their toddler daughter to join the other girl.

"Hey!", Jimin spots the couple first and immediately runs up to hug Taehyung, "How are you guys?"

"Great", they answer as the three of them walk over to the table.
