ACE FOUND himself sitting at the kitchen table in Kiandra's home. He dedicated a majority of his time to glancing around her house like a child wandering around in a museum. Different ranked police medals, modern day decor, the thick scent of what smelled like some kind of perfume that his Grandmother used to wear bombarded him all at once. Everything about Kiandra's living space made him want to crawl out of his skin. It only ever became enough for him when he saw a pair of silver handcuffs casually strewn across the coffee table in the living room.

His gun was still hidden somewhere on him. He'd never felt the need to keep it at such close range until this very moment. She hadn't done anything threatening that had tempted him to get acquainted with his trigger finger again, though he was wishing she would so that all of this could come to an end a lot sooner. His own anxiousness was fucking with his head and he couldn't believe that he actually got into the passenger seat of her car to ride over here for the well-needed discussion she craved to have.

Kiandra took nervous steps into the kitchen, bearing a medium sized photograph between her fingers. Ace was still figuring out how to conduct himself in front of her. He had never come close to sitting face to face with anyone that called themselves a cop. She shouldn't have been the one to break that trend for him.
