WHAT DOES IT mean to be in love? To truly be in love? America never really knew how to define Love. Not in a way that made sense to her anyway. She could only go based off of how people made her feel, and label it from there. Those were questions that she used to ask herself. Now, she was more than one hundred percent sure that the way Ace made her feel was that. Love. She had said it before, and she'd say it a million times over. If she were to create her own definition of Love, the word she'd stamp into a dictionary to sum it up would be him. His name and his name only.
She realized that even though their actions proved everything for the way they felt for each other, she would've preferred to reassure him of it as well. And she did. That night, when all of the city was sure to be sleeping, she stared out of Ace's large bedroom window and stroked his arm that was tossed around her waist. The moon stared back at her and jacketed the entire bedroom in a silhouette of silk blue. The soft hum of the heater going made her trip over her words. She ended up laying silently for another five minutes to pass time.
