track # 38 : Song Cry — August Alsina

"When you experience loss, people say you'll move through the 5 stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance. What they don't tell you is that you'll cycle through them all every day. Love when lost left pain that could kill a man."

REGRET WHAT? What did Kiandra think he would regret? He was unsure of why she would even think to say that to him. He could only think of a short handful of things that he regret doing throughout his life; returning the pain to America's killer would never be one of them. Kiandra must have taken a serious hit to her head if she thought for a second that he would settle with accepting that the officer was still out there somewhere, basking in the heat of his home while America's blood was inked into the snow surrounding the gas station lot.

Snow. It was coming down heavier and the traffic lights hanging up ahead all seemed to be teaming up on him, glaring back a red, fluorescent beam of light. He shifted in the driver's seat, looking in the rear view mirror to make sure he wasn't being followed. He had a strange feeling that he was being watched.

Every green light that he was granted ended with him stopping at another red light. More cars were on the road than usual. He cursed to himself and looked through the window with twisted eyebrows. The people in their vehicles remained unmoving as if traffic at eleven o'clock PM were completely normal on a night like this. He'd never seen the roads so busy. It took him longer than it should've to reach his destination. When he did arrive, he had to take a moment to get himself together.
