Cedric's POV
I park my car and enter the main building. I take a deep breathe and climb the stairs.
When I saw Charlotte yesterday, I was shocked. I could see the similar shock in her. I could clearly see the pain I've caused in her eyes. The girl who cared so much for me and who was always there for me seemed so distant when I saw her yesterday.
I can say that I know her the most but after yesterday's encounter, I questioned myself and my claim that do I really know her. If I had known her the most, I would have never hurt her. When she broke the eye contact and entered the class, I felt so bad. I had expected her to smile at least but why would she after everything that I've done to her.
When I entered the class, she was seated beside the window. I still remember it very clearly the way we used to talk for hours seated beside the window. As I recall these things, I reach the corridor. As I take a turn to walk to the class, I see her standing in front of our class. She is wearing black pants, pink t-shirt and white converse and facing the other side which overlooks the ground below.
As I enter the class, I decide that I'll at least try to talk to her. I am so sure that she won't talk to me but still I'll try. I remember the way she literally ran out of the class when I entered the class yesterday.
I put my bag in my seat and as I walk towards the door, she is now leaning on the wall and still facing the other side. I decide that I will let it go for today and turn around and walk to my seat. I sit down and look outside the window.
I check the time, it is fifteen minutes past 8. As I turn around, I see Adele walking towards me. She doesn't look nervous like she looked yesterday but looks rather calm.
"Hey Adele" I call aloud and wave my hand.
She walks up to me shyly. "Hi Charlotte, nice to see u again," she says with a smile. "I'll keep my bag and come back," she says and walks towards the door. She turns around at looks at me. "Can I sit next to you?" she asks and looks quite unsure.
"Of course, why not" I tell her with a smile.
"Thank you" she says returning the smile and walks inside the class.
I wait for her and she comes out of the class and stands next to me. We stand in silence for a while. We have not become friends yet and it is quite awkward for both of us.
"How was your first day?" I finally ask her breaking the awkward silence between us.
"Oh! it was great actually," she says. "English literature class and french literature were awesome,"she continues with a smile.
I check the time what seems like the tenth time since I have arrived this morning. It is twenty five minutes past 8. "I think, we better go inside the class, the class is about to start," I tell her.
She smiles in approval and we walk inside the class together.
